To ask what conspiracy theories you actually believe are true?

Following on from the thread where OP was looking for conspiracy theories for her kids to look at, I was wondering whether anyone actually believes any of the outlandish conspiracies.

We’ve all read about how people believe that Elvis didn’t die/Paul McCartney did die/the royals are all lizards/the earth is flat. But I’ve never encountered anyone who actually believes any of them, only people who talk about people who (apparently) believe in them.

So, what conspiracies do you actually believe and why?

In fact, the way money works on a national/global level is essentially one great big conspiracy fact that the average person in the street wouldn't necessarily understand or be able to get their head around

Yes, I believe RH- are a different species.

Why not? Nobody knows why we have no antigens. We reject second positive babies because our bodies see them as something to reject. We need certain drugs to carry them to term.

I think the answer to this is bedded in "evolution". Rh- people have no antigens (it doesn't matter why ), so if Darwin is right about how evolution works, it makes sense that not being able to reproduce would be a thing - i.e. you're not the fittest so you dont survive. It doesn't mean you're a different species,

I'm O negative. What does that mean? That I'm not descended from Rhesus monkeys? What am I descended from then?

9/11. Too many strange things and info about that

The moon landings were real, the effort they would have to put in to faking it would be more than actually going to the moon eg Australia received the TV/radio signals from space.

JFK/LHO - there is something dodgy, the US secret services said they were not interested in LHO, that I do not believe. No one defected to the USSR, no one knew what life was like in the USSR and they didn't want to talk to the one person who could give some information.

Loose change is well put together but only shows the film maker's agenda. There might be 2000 scientists agreeing with some aspect of 9/11 but loose change finds the 1 who disagrees.

I do think there is more to 9/11, there was 'chatter' and there was some weird activity on the stock market.

I believe Finland and Australia exist.

I don't believe Libya planted the Lockerbie bomb, I think it was Iran in response to the shooting down of Iran Air Flight 655.

No way I believe Epstein killed himself. Not a chance!

I believe that covid is very reall and concerning but I do believe that it is being heightened in the news to distract us from the shit show that is Brexit and the impact it's having, which will all be conveniently attributed to covid disruption.

Diana - a tragic accident. Nothing more or less. There was no reason imo for the RF to get ‘rid’ of her. She was becoming a bit of a laughing stock hanging around with the Fayeds. Charles face when he went to collect her from Paris- he looked devastated. You can’t make that up. He’s not a professional actor.

9/11 - I think it’s possible that they knew an attack was planned but didn’t know what or when. Terrorists only need to be right once. Intelligence agencies need to be right all of the time.

Two for the pot: Probably untrue but a bit more grounded than some. The Labour leader Gaitskell, who died quite young, was poisoned because the Soviets wanted a a more left-wing and sympathetic leader in Wilson. The car accident Princess Grace of Monaco died in was arranged because the Mafia and those controlling the casinos resented her interference and anti-gambling stance.

Hinduism is one of the oldest religions in the world. Much older than Christianity. There texts are amazing and full of references to flying machines - to the point Hitler stole many historical texts and tried create a flying machine from them

Hitler was also allowed to live out the rest of his life in the USA with a body guard till he died.

I like the BMI one.....in 15 years of regularly calculating BMIs I’ve never met a soul, not one single soul, who hit the obese category and was anything other than visibly, noticeably, can-see-it-from-across-the-room obese.

I’d secretly like to believe that our governments were organised enough to carry out some of these conspiracies.

I’m the same! I always have to remind myself it’s 50. It makes no sense, because 50 is a perfectly round number, why would I forget it?

I haven’t made it all the way through the thread. I wonder if it’s to do with odd twos. You have the main body of the US and then Hawaii and Alaska are often pictured separately on maps.

I have a vague recollection that there’s something about the last two states to join the union as well.

The Diana one is my favourite conspiracy theory. That the D of E ordered MI6 to bump her off. Nothing to do with the chauffeur being pissed and driving down a city centre 30mph zone at 78mpg and straight into an adverse camber accident black spot. That would like careering down Cheyne Walk at 80mph !. Plus if she had put her seat belt on she probably would have survived. Of course she could have told Henri to slow down.

I’m fairly convinced covid is a laboratory release. I’d like to think it’s accidental, but I’m pretty sure it’s man-made, and so do several of my (appropriately qualified) colleagues.

My ex boss firmly believed that the US army invaded Iraq because there are alien portals there and one of these portals takes you to a portal on Mars where some humans are all ready living. He said the US needed to seize and secure the portals to prevent Saddam Husseins access to the alien world. He also said that all Rhesus negative blood groups are linked to ancient alien blood so therefore aliens have been living (and breeding) with us and have been using the portals to travel here.

I’m sure I read a theory somewhere that Anne Boleyn was Rhesus negative & that’s why she couldn’t carry to term after Elizabeth I.

I think there's a conspiracy to hide how absolutely gullible and dimwitted many in the general population are. But this thread has just blown it wide open.
