To ask what conspiracy theories you actually believe are true?

Following on from the thread where OP was looking for conspiracy theories for her kids to look at, I was wondering whether anyone actually believes any of the outlandish conspiracies.

We’ve all read about how people believe that Elvis didn’t die/Paul McCartney did die/the royals are all lizards/the earth is flat. But I’ve never encountered anyone who actually believes any of them, only people who talk about people who (apparently) believe in them.

So, what conspiracies do you actually believe and why?
@bottleofbeer What do you mean 🤷🏻‍♀️My mum is rhesus negative
So's mine!

I believe Jonbenet Ramsey was killed by her parents (probably in an accident) and I believe Diana and David Kelly were murdered.

Cam2020 · 27/01/2021 23:44

Jill Dando - something is definitely up with that. Diana I'm on the fence about, I think it's plausible she was assassinated but also that it could have been an accident. I also think the way she was behaving would have damaged her doe-eyed, 'people's princess' image eventually (the partying, the lothario boyfriend) and the public would have lost sympathy for her.

I don't believe the Meghan Markle fake preganancy one, but I do think Beyonce might have faked her first pregnancy. There's a video of her on a talk show where her' bump' folds when she leans over.

Aliens could exist too - we do, after all!

Vivenne · 27/01/2021 23:45

I think Jeffrey epstein was murdered and didn't commit suicide.

Whatdoyoudowhendemocracyfails · 27/01/2021 23:49

Loving the idea that the CIA wrote Winds of Change! It’s got to be possible, they’ve done much weirder stuff including trying to make Fidel Castro’s beard fall out.

bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:49

If your mum is negative and you were the first baby, no issues. Subsequent babies would be at risk if they are positive. So negative mothers get an injection that basically kills the antigens that could cause her body to reject the baby as a foreign body which her body sees as a threat. Negative babies are fine.

MsPeachh · 27/01/2021 23:50

If anyone is really interested in different human species, there’s evidence that early humans interbred with Neanderthals. Our early ancestors did a bit of experimenting on their way out of Africa it seems!

None of which proves that Rh neg people are a different species

@gwenneh

how can there be no footage at all of the plane crashing, and although there is plenty of building wreckage to be seen and its a relatively small hole, there are no remnants of a plane at all?

None of that is true. There is footage of the plane the AP has file footage and plenty of photos of fuselage mixed in with the building wreckage.

But the footage, wreckage, hole and remains don't tally. The hole is too small and the remains are too few. There are plenty of scientists who have questioned the validity of the 'footage' (ie a few clips) v aftermath. It's v odd. Oh and then they happened to find the passport (in perfect condition) soon after ... not fishy at all ...

Don’t believe in the moon landing, think it was staged using the Star Trek scenery in the Nevada desert with lots of Tin foil 😳
Sorry but just can’t get on board with it at all, never have never will and I think I’m quite a rational person
Ok Scotty beam me up now 💫

BiBabbles · 27/01/2021 23:52

It is not known how or why some people don't have the protein.

It's a mutation, just like everything else genetic -- one that possibly has some benefits. There is some evidence that Rh- resists some parasites better which may outweigh the pregnancy-related issues on a population level. I'm open to the possibility it was introduced to humans by neanderthals or another group we interbred with, but it could also come from a shared ancestor which is why it presents in so many other animals.

I mean, sickle cell anemia causes a whole host of other health problems which means those with it often die young especially before modern medicine, but there is evidence those with it - and carrier who do not have it - are more resistant to malaria. That's the reason, as is for most things evolution - mutations can be a mixed bag of negatives and positives, though the former tend to be more obvious.

bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:52

My first two babies were positive. After baby number 2, I didn't get the anti d within 72 hours so I was very closely monitored for baby 3. He was negative as was number 4 so I have no idea if not getting the anti d within 72 hours would have been a problem. I was lucky.

bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:53

Not a single post on this thread can be proven. It's just a theory.

SidekickSally · 27/01/2021 23:56

@bottleofbeer you’re cherry picking your “science”. There is so much published research in this area. But I can see where these arguments come from, I’ve just googled it and a whole load of stuff came up about what the bible says about Rh negative, gods having sex with humans. Of course the published scientific peer reviewed evidence doesn’t come up on google.

bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:58

Yeah well I can't say i subscribe to the god shit.

You're rejecting my null hypothesis!

Mumisnotmyonlyname · 27/01/2021 23:58

There are so many liars amongst those pushing conspiracy theories.
Someone sent me a link about masks, the article author claiming to have backing from the Lancet. Quotes and all. It looked very convincing. So I looked up the research in the Lancet snd the crafty so and so's had only quoted a portion of the paragraph, in order to reverse the meaning.

MsPeachh · 27/01/2021 23:59

BiBabbles has nailed it. Also a quick look at Wikipedia says that the region of the chromosome that encodes the rhesus protein is quite “fragile” and prone to deletion, to put it simply.

That Elizabeth the first died at a relatively young age and was replaced possibly with a feminine man. This would explain why 'she' never married, wore such heavy makeup and had a balding head. She was completely flat chested too.

bottleofbeer · 28/01/2021 00:00

Wiki is not your friend if you want proper sources.

The Hairy Hands of Dartmoor belong to a chimera created by one of the local secret military labs.

mrsnolasco · 28/01/2021 00:00

I don’t think that Tupac is dead. So much of his story doesn’t add up.

TravellingTilbury · 28/01/2021 00:02

@Hammonds

Do you mean Isaac Kappy? Yes, there is a video he made (still online) where he talks to the camera detailing the abuse in Hollywood. He said that he would never commit suicide. Yet suicide was the official narrative. I think that Isaac Kappy had video proof given to certain people as a type of 'deadman's switch' in the event of his death. This is being covered up by the media.

randoID · 28/01/2021 00:02

This is addictive. I have to get some sleep. I’ll be back tomorrow.. had no idea Finland didn’t even exist. As for Megan’s bump - that pop was so random- could have been anything.
I think it’s grossly unfair to analyse a woman’s pregnancy in that way...
