Drugs. Be honest..

Inspired by the white bag thread, it just got me curious. I’m not a journo! Although, I suppose that’s what a journalist would say..

Have you / do you take drugs? What did you take and why did you?

I’ll be honest and go first, I occassinally use MDMA and I do use coke on nights. But I don’t have kids and I’d stop as soon as I was having them

Yes, I was young in the 1970’s and lived a pretty wild life… turn on, tune in, drop out type of philosophy. I, along with the people I lived with, took all sorts. Life was fun, though there were casualties.

In regular use were Cannabis resin… Afghan black, Lebanese, etc . Acid, coke, heroin, morphine, speed, mandrax, etc.

As I said, life was fun but there was a dark side. It was exciting.

I used to take MDMA in my 20s and early 30s. I had some great times but it was good while it lasted and I wouldn't bother doing it now.

I smoked weed a bit at university but never really enjoyed it much.

Also did a bit of coke but didn't really get the fuss either.

Honestly, I have never ever tried any drug and I'm in my early 30's. Never even smoked weed. Never appealed to me as I hate the feeling of not being in control (never drink much either). Dont I sound like a barrel of laughs! 😂

I love the feeling of not being in control.

I used to smoke a lot of weed. I taken MDMA, LSD, magic mushrooms, cocaine (which I didn't like and seems to turn people into utter nobs ime!), speed. Morphine in hospital (bloody lovely!).

I had a very positive experience of taking MDMA. It changed me as a person for the better.

Chronically ill and on lots of meds now so can't risk doing anything sadly.

No, never have. They ruin lives and the change of manufacturing, supply, etc is devastating to so many people.

Also never smoked.
Only drink a bit of champagne if at a wedding. Otherwise no alcohol.
I like to be in full control of my senses and my actions.
I don't like how people are 'under the influence' of anything, really.

I had a couple of joints as a student in the early 90s, nothing since.

I'll be honest, there have been a few times in the last year, especially in the summer, when was sitting out in the garden late at night, when I felt I would really like a nice joint. I didn't, and I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to go about getting anything, but it did occur to me that it would have been nice and calming.

All when I was in my early 20’s & living in London, doing a lot of clubbing. Pills pretty much every weekend, acid, weed, & occasionally a line or two on a Fri or Sat night. Never became addicted but I did have good fun.

Stopped when I got bored of that lifestyle - moved out of London, binned the drugs on the same day & never took anything since. Lead a very healthy, active lifestyle now - Two kids, married, vegetarian. Lots of outdoorsy things going on as I live in Surrey.

But yeah…….I have lived

OOh, I'd forgotten about prescribed drugs! When I was about 17 I had my wisdom teeth out under general anaesthetic and I was so terrified that my dentist prescribed tomazapam? diazepam? Something like that. I had one in the morning, one before my appointment and one afterwards, and I was high as a kite. I remember sitting in the dentist's chair and going 'ooooooh your chair is moving! It's a flying chair!' and then laughing hysterically for about 12 hours, and having the best sleep in my life ever. I felt AMAZING.

No, I can't see the point.

No I was never interested, grew up on Zammo on Grange Hill. Had enough fun with alcohol.

Yes - Ecstasy / MDMA in my late teens early 20's. Occasionally take coke now at big nights out
