I know Castor's speech is not aimed at the public, and as a member of "Great Britain " he certainly isn't speaking to me, but...

What the jiggery fuck is he talking about?

His arguements seem to be

  1. Dont impeach cos you've already done it before and its becoming boring
  2. Trump is allowed to say whatever he wants, with no consequence
  3. Democrats are scared of Trump

Thats what I've taken away from his speech.

The one part i am enjoying is that both Trumps lawyers have said repeatedly:

"Trump lost the election"
"Trump is no longer president"
"Trump is now a private citizen"

Trumo can't deny it now, buth his lawyers have said it Grin

Schoen repeatedly attacking the impeachment of a "private citizen" as "an unconstitutional act" as he knows that is how enough GOP senators will rationalize their decisions to acquit Trump without dealing with his actions leading up to the siege.

I’ve been listening/watching since 8pm UK time - literally as Castor started his opening speech. Can’t believe he started by introducing himself as representing the prosecution, and then having to correct himself by laughing and saying he knew the difference between defence and prosecution.

His 40+ minutes of waddling didn’t really follow a coherent format or say anything sensible. They are really pushing a narrative that feeds into the fear of “communist” fear for anyone watching.

I don’t think I’ll be able to stay up to see this through all the way, but I might surprise myself. Either way, I’ll look forward to seeing all the views on here tomorrow.
