Lucky enough to have a painting of a heron, done as an original commission by Derek Robertson. At £500 its the most expensive thing I own. I love it

I love Nicola Bayley's illustrations in the "The Mousehole Cat", especially when Mouser "sings" to the Great Storm Cat. You can almost hear him purr and the colours are beautiful.

If I were to chose a fine art painting, it would be The Starry Night by Van Gogh. I do love the painting, but I also love Don Maclean's song, Vincent.

I really like Marc Chagall. He had a fascinating if tragic life. I saw this at an exhibition at the Tate in Liverpool a few years back. Lovers in Blue.

Thank you

I did see that but they are all framed, which is not in my budget. I will try Ebay to see if I can find prints and posters.

Really enjoying this thread. Thank you especially to the posters who mentioned Pam Carter, Leonid Afremov and Ron Lawson - all new names to me but I really like them!

Love Mark Rothko
Summertime by Pollock. All time favourite.

@NoShitHemlock

Scott Naismith. I used to walk past an art gallery on my way to work every morning and they had his large prints in the window. Once I changed jobs, I treated myself, and have managed to get 4 more Grin
I love Naismith too - I have prints 1 and 3 of your pics in my house! I’d love an original.

I also love www.Michaelsanders art.com. I have two framed prints and would love more. When I win the lottery I want an original.

I know nothing about art, I just know what I like.

Ballsed up the link.

In more contemporary tastes, I love Vladimir Kush. I didn't know about him till I wandered into his gallery in Vegas. No one seems to talk about the great art in Vegas!

I love this artwork I brought by Pete Goffin. I googled artwork of a beach we all love and visit often as a family, and this came up.
I love it as it really captures the beach and the landscape as I see it when I visit. The detail in the pebbles and waves... I feel like I’m there!!

I love nothing more than a morning in an art gallery. I am another pre raphaelite fan. La Belle Dame sans Merci by Dicksee is one of my favourites (love the poem too).

I love the work of an artist called Jiri Borsky - his use of colour is awesome.

I love the ceiling of the Opéra Garnier in Paris by Marc Chagall. I was fortunate enough to visit and it is so striking. There is just so much detail if you look closely - at first glance it looks like splodges of colour then you can see the dancers and details. Beautiful.

I love Fabian Perez and have this above my bed. It's just beautiful. I loved it so much I had it shipped in from the States as it wasn't available here. Worth every penny.

Christopher Marley's Pheromone work. All his butterfly art captivates me.

@GlitchSnitch I have TLoS in my bedroom. It was the first thing I bought and had framed as a teenager. I have lots of other stuff now but I'm still very very fond of it.
