How could I forget Edward Hopper?!

I adore his work. Years ago, I spent a very lovely day in the Whitney Museum in NYC as they had a Hopper exhibition. His works just glow. Remember seeing this one and it took my breath away:

This original Katie Mair painting. I had admired it for months in a local gallery and it was presented to me on mothers day 2014 by my dd, age 3. She sadly passed away 10 days later very suddenly. It takes pride of place in my living room, I will never forget the sheer excitement on her face when she gave it to me......she loved chickens!

I like illustrations. I know where they're selling some of the original Jill Murphy ones from The Worst Witch, and I'm very tempted. They're not very big though, so I think they'd look best with two or three hung together, and I don't think I can justify the money.

I love the work of British painter Fabienne Jenny Jacquet. She does wonderful nudes from a woman's perspective. The work is also quite quirky and gothic sometimes but always beautiful and textured. She is on Instagram @fabiennejennyjacquet & I usually buy stuff through

Mackenzie Thorpe I just love the simplicity of his work and the odd pops of colour. My mum bought me one years ago but would love to be able to afford more.

DH got this for my birthday last year

I'm longing for this piece by Eoin O Connor.

This is the favourite art that we own. We picked this up on our honeymoon in Cuba. We found this tiny art shop. The shop had 3 of these series, one of an old Cuban man complete with the cigar was much bigger. The size is why we didn’t buy all 3 but now I wish we had bought them all. I don’t know the artist nor do I know the name of the lady painted. She was a famous Cuban singer from a few decades ago.

Miranda from The Tempest by John William Waterhouse is my favourite piece of art ever. DH got me a framed print of it for my birthday last year. I love looking at it so much. When I saw it at the Tate (not Modern) I stood in front of it for ages.

I would absolutely love to have a painting like this one by Rashid Diab. It's called Heaven's Colourful Sisters, and I love the feeling in it.
