Why on earth doesn't she just shut up and fade from view? She is the very worst PM we have ever had, what in the world makes her think anyone cares what she thinks Confused

I am stunned by her arrogance, she was the laughing stock of the whole world for years, and yet she feels qualified to still pass comment?

Please can someone tell her WE DONT CARE what you think, you had your chance and you stuffed it up with your robotic soundbites and your lack of backbone, now please depart with dignity.

Well, Biden supporters didn’t storm the Capitol and try to overthrow democracy ...

I doubt they thought they were going to overthrow democracy. They were hardly capable of that. Just a bunch of violent stupid twats doing what they like best. Much like the democrats in the riots last year setting fire to people's businesses, looting, and generally acting like violent stupid twats. I don't like trump supporters. I don't like trump. And I really don't like Biden either. But if people think that Biden and the tactics of his supporters are a preferable alternative then that is a serious error of judgement.

BoJo is far worse than May. Poor BoJo always always looks rough as guts, very unhealthy and sleep deprived. Not exactly the image we want to project to the world.

WTA? Umm, I don’t think it’s the PM’s job to simply look attractive! Think you may have missed the point somewhat! Or are you jesting? ConfusedGrin

Johnson, Cameron, Thatcher, Blair... All were worse than May. She was a pretty terrible home secretary and failed to gain any real support from her own party. Morally, she was, well, fairly suited to the Tory Party.
I do feel she was handed the shitty end of the stick with regard to Brexit but she surely must have known what she was letting herself in for. Her deal was better than Johnson's at any rate.

And just for the record I am not Carrie!! Grin I like Boris, yes, but not that much

Why? What do you like about him?

His introspection? His careful, considered manner? His respect for the citizens of this country? His honesty? Work ethic? Compassion? Committment to his principles?

When I look at BJ I see "Blunderer and Bullshitter". But to each their own.

May is one of the few old guard Tories in the commons who had lots of govt experience. She can see many things better than most MPs.

The only one I wish would go hide in a hole is Blair. Stop telling us what you think we should be doing, stopping going round and speaking on before of us to other politicians and try to help.

Go away we don't want to hear from you.

Quite like Blair, clever guy, helped bring peace to NI and invested heavily in the NHS.

He gets slagged off for Iraq but thats a little unfair, the uk will always support the USA and that war would have happened regardless of what Blair did.

I notice Cameron doesn't get the same hate for Libya.... an act he did on his own, he didn't have to, if he'd said no, that war wouldn't have happened, maybe then not a staging post for trafficking and slavery into europe? not too mention war and bloodshed.
It achieved nothing.

Any of the anti brexiteers had a little think about the fact that the majority of the British public voted for Brexit. Also, thank goodness we were free from the bureaucracy in this pandemic as the way out is the vaccine. Perhaps you need to compare and contrast to where the UK is with that compared to the EU countries. Cheers for Denmark!

That's factually incorrect. The slender majority of those who voted voted for Brexit. That categorically isn't the same as the majority of the general public.

May the worst prime minister?

Think Johnson has Trumped her there.

Our politics is now world leading in laughing stock and corruption.

But you blame the puppet and not the master.

Johnson is a disgrace and should be in prison .

For someone who won a LANDSLIDE election, it is quite strange that so many on here don't like Boris. Despite much of the country voting for him!

Boris a fabulous PM, he promised to get a brexit deal and he has, he promised to do his best to deliver a vaccine and he has - and yet some people are still not happy. I think he is great, and will go down in history as one of the best PMs we have ever had, and I don't think it is going to matter whether you personally like or not.

He delivered democracy - end of.

This made me laugh. But also shows how fucked the country is.

Johnson is a liar and a cheat. He’s delivered two disasters to the UK.

He is the worst PM in the UK history.

@NoWordForFluffy the majority of those who voted, voted Brexit. It is the system we have. If remainers didn't vote, they can hardly now csrp about the result.

I know that, but I'm correcting the assertion that the majority of the public voted for Brexit. That bit is factually incorrect.

Under Boris' leadership we remain one of the front runners in the entire world when it comes to purchasing and delivering vaccines.

So I don't think you are being balanced. He has done an outstanding job trying out the lateral (moonshot) vaccines too, and quite frankly it was not Boris' fault people in this country like to break rules, and are immature when it comes to christmas. We were always going to have this wave, thanks mainly to entitlement more than anything else.

Haha how funny. And thanks to him, we are also the front runners in numbers of deaths per capita - the highest in the world, as of news reports three days ago. His handling of the covid crisis has been appalling. His licking of Dominic's backside showed his true colours. Nothing but a venal crony.

Cameron and Johnson may yet have the break up of the UK to be remembered for.

As for Icanseegreenshoots worship of Johnson - it's on a par with Rees-Mogg's puerile jokes about Happy British Fish. Don't upset yourself mate about the livelihoods that you have damaged.

I would say that if it weren't for Brexit, neither May nor Johnson would have had a chance of becoming PM. And both were/are disastrous.

I can see it both ways on Brexit, though I doubt anyone who voted for it would have realised we'd be stuck with not even the B team more the Conference side for the next decade or so. We're stuck with the Graylings, the Williamsons, Patels and slivey Gives.

Yes the vaccines are an outstanding achievement, no one can dispute this.

So I don't think you are being balanced. We were always going to have this wave, thanks mainly to entitlement more than anything else

But in the interests of balance we have the worst death toll in europe and Johnson himself has constantly bigged up the defeat of the virus, he told everyone to have 5 days of xmas in november, he had no idea whether this would be possible or not but being our leader, we all believed him and made plans accordingly.

He is directly responsible for the deaths and the dire situation in Hospitals we now see.

Back last March people were obeying the rules. This was until Cummings thumbed two fingers at them and Johnson and cronies backed him to the hilt. There is not getting away from that. That destroyed public confidence.

Nor is the fact that he flip flops from one decision to another - we will open schools, we won't open schools just being the latest in a long line.

Last year's exam results were a disaster - how confident can we be that it won't be repeated this year? Not much. May would definitely have done a better job here - it would have been the sort of task she could get her teeth stuck into. Instead of waffle, waffle, waffle, some Latin, piffle, piffle, piffle, some money bunged to chums, waffle, waffle.

I disagree that May was perfectly reasonable in what she said.

Britain should cease foreign aid to Pakistan as a mater of urgency. It's pretty much a rogue state.

Also Theresa May is a sanctimonious hypocrite. It was her who refused Asia Bibi and her family asylum in Britain when she was finally released from death row in Pakistan after years of torture, and still under threat of death from the pious Muslim majority.

May should be asked about her views on the case every time she opens her mouth. Johnson wrote her a letter at the time urging her to grant asylum.
