Theresa Bloody May!

Why on earth doesn't she just shut up and fade from view? She is the very worst PM we have ever had, what in the world makes her think anyone cares what she thinks Confused

I am stunned by her arrogance, she was the laughing stock of the whole world for years, and yet she feels qualified to still pass comment?

Please can someone tell her WE DONT CARE what you think, you had your chance and you stuffed it up with your robotic soundbites and your lack of backbone, now please depart with dignity.

It was typical Glass Cliff seen throughout companies all over the world - promote a woman to a position of power when failure is inevitable then blame the woman when it all goes to shit.

LizFlowers · 20/01/2021 14:20

She is not as bad as Boris.

TheVanguardSix · 20/01/2021 14:20

I think TM just lubed us up for the shit packing we're dealing with now, to put it crudely but honestly.

Graciebobcat · 20/01/2021 14:21

Theresa May was vaguely competent and effective compared with Johnson.

TheRogueApostrophe · 20/01/2021 14:22

@Icanseegreenshoots

Theresa May is constantly undermining the government because she is bitter and angry. I don't think she should be given a platform to air her grievances when she lied and pretended to support brexit when the opposite turned out to be true! She was a fake, and a bad one at that.
It was well known that she was a Remain supporter. I don't think she lied? She was willing to do the job in hand and crack on with getting a deal to leave the EU as democratically voted for despite that, but was undermined by her peers time and again.

If you want to talk about liars, shall we start with the £350 million a week to the NHS? The leave campaign was based on lies and untruths.

ddl1 · 20/01/2021 14:23

I think she was one of our worst Home Secretaries ever, against lots of competition (though the current one is even worse). As Prime Minister, she was poor, but not the worst.

@Icanseegreenshoots

I don't see an 'out of control' ego when I look at Boris, what I see is confidence.

I don't think people realise what a difficult childhood he had either. Anyone else would be applauded for overcoming such difficulties.

When I see de Pfeffel Johnson I see a man sinking. He's completely out of his depth.

Overoming difficulties? I don't think Boris is sitting with Marcus Rashford talking about his experiences of being on FSM.
Yes it must be terribly hard with all those doors opening to you, post Eton and Oxford...

MacDuffsMuff · 20/01/2021 14:25

I'm no May fan, quite the opposite in fact, but you cannot seriously think that the lying, immoral cunt of a prime minister that we have now is doing a better job?

And why should she not speak out? You may not be interested in what she has to say but I'm sure that many of her constituents are. Should they not have a voice or should only your own MP be allowed to speak?

MacDuffsMuff · 20/01/2021 14:26

@LetMeBubble

There is only one woman on this planet who would look at him with those eyes,

Carrie, you sleeping well these days?

Grin Quite.
AlexaShutUp · 20/01/2021 14:27

I'm no Theresa May fan. Her hard Brexit strategy was disastrous and I strongly objected to many of her actions in the home office.

I also agree that May has zero charisma. However, what she did have, which Boris would never recognise even if it bit him on the nose, was a genuine sense of public duty. A desire to do what she believed was the right thing. Qualities that are seriously lacking in our current government.

As one of our most senior politicians, I think she has every right to speak out on issues that she considers to be important.

ddl1 · 20/01/2021 14:31

what in the world makes her think anyone cares what she thinks

Perhaps the fact that she's an MP?

Catty1720 · 20/01/2021 14:31

If I was her after the way Boris got up and walked out when she was about to question him a month or so ago I wouldn’t shut up.
She’s not the worse but being a women I really don’t think she stood a chance atPM especially with brexit!

Tanith · 20/01/2021 14:31

People with difficult childhoods tend to get therapy. They don't wreck countries.

DGRossetti · 20/01/2021 14:33

That's not necessarily a good thing though. A lot depends on that view. It's not a view I admire or agree with. And she's still a liar of Johnsonian proportions.

@Icanseegreenshoots

The UK has the highest death rate, this week, in the world. Next week it will be someone else, you don't seem to understand how waves work.

Anyone with a grain of intelligence knew this would happen after christmas.

Anyone except our PM.
MacDuffsMuff · 20/01/2021 14:37

@Tanith

People with difficult childhoods tend to get therapy. They don't wreck countries.
But apparently, having a 'difficult childhood' absolves one of everything. Who knew!
butterpuffed · 20/01/2021 14:40

@Icanseegreenshoots

He won a LANDSLIDE people, can you explain that? Thought not.
Why ask a question of posters, then answer it yourself immediately afterwards with nobody else's view ?

You should be prepared to listen to others.

MacDuffsMuff · 20/01/2021 14:46

@Icanseegreenshoots Goodness, you're quite the Boris fan girl aren't you?

Anyone can see you have no interest in considering anyone else's point of view. So typical of his little devotees.

SabrinaThwaite · 20/01/2021 14:59

Does “a difficult childhood” make you become a Bullingdon twunt?

Thought not.

emilyfrost · 20/01/2021 15:01

@Icanseegreenshoots

You can't stand it, someone actually liking Boris.
I like Boris, but you’re just being an arse. Stop embarrassing yourself.
NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2021 15:04

@Icanseegreenshoots

The Tories got 43% of the vote share and were aided and abetted by FPTP in relation to their seat numbers.
NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2021 15:06

I like Boris, but you’re just being an arse. Stop embarrassing yourself.

The OP must be beyond the pale, as I've agreed with @emilyfrost for the first time ever (not the bit about liking Boris!).

Bouledeneige · 20/01/2021 15:07

I'm not a Blair apologist - I will never forgive him for the Iraq War - but it was his government that brought about the Northern Ireland peace agreement. A major achievement. There were a few other important advances through investment in health and education but then the economy was booming so they were making hay whilst the sun shone.

HarrietPierce · 20/01/2021 15:09

The way OP is going on she/he sounds like a deranged Trump supporter.

HibernatingTill2030 · 20/01/2021 15:14

She wasn't the very worst PM we've ever had; admittedly being better than Boris is a low bar though.
She inherited all the shit and never had the backing of the loons.
That said, I've not actually seen her make any statements lately, although she is of course entitled to, both as a human and as a sitting MP.
