Been using them for a few months now and cant believe it took me this long! It's literally just you pull on your underwear and you're done. I don't even know why you'd bother faffing around with mooncups etc when this exists, let alone pads.

I will admit that if I have an event or something I would still use tampons just because I've been using those for so long I have confidence in them whereas I still need to get used to the underwear. But for day to day use I absolutely love these, they almost make me forget I have my period

Any other converts?

I’m a modi body convert, been using them for 8 months. I use 3 pairs in my heavy days, but only 2 pairs (one in the morning and one at night).
Rinsing them out doesn’t bother me, I do this then chuck them in the next dark wash.
Period pain is definitely much less than when I used tampons.
They might not be ideal if I go on holiday and do t have washing facilities but there’s not much chance of that at the moment!
My DD14 also uses them and finds it great that she doesn’t need to bother with changing pads or anything while she’s at school.

CutToChase · 17/01/2021 20:06

Wonder what the science is re that pain factor. I cant comment as I never had pain but it's interesting.

And yes I'm not sure how this wouldnt be a faff for women who have to leave the house to work. Maybe they need to start thinking about some kind of smart accessory, such as maybe a soft case you could zip them into and would be 100% smell and wet proof, and that you could throw directly in the washing machine

Can you re use these?

bobby81 · 17/01/2021 20:09

I love mine but it is NOT TRUE that they never leak....if your periods are light then they are fine on their own but for anyone who suffers with heavy flow you need extra protection. I have leaked through mine onto my clothes before & would never leave the house without extra protection. I use modibodi and tulip.

PyongyangKipperbang · 17/01/2021 20:09

I think its bloody typical that the year VAT is scrapped on sanitary products and there are so many great things out there to make periods easier, is the year my periods stop!

I am only 47, thought I had a few years left before menopause.....apparently not :o

Glenthebattleostrich · 17/01/2021 20:10

im a convert!

mooncup on very heavy days, pants the others. so comfy and easy.

Wellyouknowbest · 17/01/2021 20:12

So you don't need a pad or tampon with these? I keep looking at them but didn't know if they were to just catch leaks ☺️

44PumpLane · 17/01/2021 20:14

Just a heads up, modibodi do a period pant that has hook and eye fastenings on either hip so realistically you could whip them off and new ones on without much hassle in a cubicle at work

OhioOhioOhio · 17/01/2021 20:15

Yeah I love mine too.

BessMarvin · 17/01/2021 20:16

I love mine. Modibodi like many pps. Also got waku but I haven't tried them yet.

To go out and about a double zip wet bag is good. One section for clean, one for dirty.

BessMarvin · 17/01/2021 20:17

I mean wuka not waku

twobrews · 17/01/2021 20:19

I've been trying to persuade DD to use them, even if it's just as a back up but she's not keen.

I'll stick with my mooncup as I absolutely cannot bear the feeling of blood/clots leaving my body.

Catty1720 · 17/01/2021 20:21

Does anyone use the bamboo house ones?

Catty1720 · 17/01/2021 20:22

Where have I been hiding!! What’s a moon cup?

frazzledquaver · 17/01/2021 20:23

@QuestionableMouse

I'm fat of arse and most don't come in my size.
I'm a porker and Modibodi do them in really big sizes.
IHaveBrilloHair · 17/01/2021 20:23

I use them overnight as back up for my mooncup, but I tried them on their own and just felt damp and disgusting.

frazzledquaver · 17/01/2021 20:24

Agree. Lilets ultra for me, plus an overnight towel, and modibodi to catch the leaks.
Pinkfreesias · 17/01/2021 20:25

I've been post-menopausal for 10 years but I'd definitely give period pants a try if I was still having periods.

MrsWindass · 17/01/2021 20:25

Do they not smell ? I have hideous memories of the smell of blood when it is not contained inside ? Also of hair getting stuck to pads 🤮

KeyboardWorriers · 17/01/2021 20:26

I love mine! So much more pleasant than a pad (and I don't like using tampons). They are so much more comfortable. Also love not sending so much stuff to landfill.

bobbojobbo · 17/01/2021 20:29

I don't even know why you'd bother faffing around with mooncups etc when this exists, let alone pads

Because they don't work for those of us with heavy periods. Don't be smug becuase you are lucky enough that thats not you.

OOAOML · 17/01/2021 20:31

Re the question about coloured ones - I have some and the inner gusset section is still black.

FippertyGibbett · 17/01/2021 20:32

I’ve got some Diary Doll’s (now discontinued) and I love them. The liner goes from the front waist band all the way under and up to the back waist band.
The ones I’ve seen now don’t have the liner going all the way up to the waist band, unless someone knows any that do ?

If I’m having a heavy day I wear them with a pad inside for extra confidence.
And I’ve worn them for exercise to catch those little leaks.

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 17/01/2021 20:32

Changing pants three times a day? I empty my Mooncup once in every 24 hours!

sorrysaywhatnow · 17/01/2021 20:34

Had a look at the rejeanne underwear recommended by @CutToChase, they look absolutely gorgeous and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the realness of the models, even some of the skinny ones have cellulite which they deliberately haven't airbrushed out, if anything is going to make me fall in love with a brand it's that.
