Just reading an article about some guy complaining about kids going in supermarket trolleys. Personally I don’t have an issue with it, I’ve put my DCs in plenty of times. I think the majority of parents, especially with multiple DCs do it.

YABU - No they should not go in trolleys
YANBU - Yes it’s fine to put them in as long as it’s safe.

@1Morewineplease Thank god I don't give a shit for your opinion then, what would you like me to do find big reins to put on her and try and March her around the shop or just leave her tied up outside?

@SmellyPooHead How do you parent a child who has no awareness of danger and safety of themselves and others?. Would you be happy if you was shopping and a child just launched themselves at you? My child has additional needs they aren't like other children. They do not know what boundaries are there is no teaching of these things with some children sadly 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Just crack on and you do you.
Don't worry about your child tipping your trolley over.
It's your problem, not mine.

@1Morewineplease Why would she tip a trolley over Confused. She's sat completely inside it still. But I will do cheers Smile

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion

It’s not as easy as just leave your child at home. If there’s nobody at home then people have to take their child with them. Online shopping isn’t for everyone. Maybe the family need food NOW rather than at the end of the week.

It doesn't matter if its easier or not. You shouldn't have to leave your kids at home to please other people. I didn't have children to keep them in the house their whole lives.

Yep. Don't like seeing my child in the supermarket? Maybe click and collect or home delivery is the best option for you.

I hate seeing it. Not from a hygiene point of view as others have said rats will be all over them at night and most food is in a package.
I hate it from a safety point of view. I work in a supermarket and have seen several injuries to children falling out of trolleys.
Please just don't risk it.

YABU

As PP have said, it’s not safe. But those who do it don’t want to think they’re putting their kids at risk so will carry on doing it.
