To look to the future... When we’re back to normal, what 4 things will you look forward to most?

We’ve all suffered. Everyone of us to some degree or another. So with all the doom and gloom, I’m trying to think of things that I will really appreciate/look for to when this fucking nightmare is over!!

So here’s my too 4- ‘looking forward to’s’....

Going out for a meal particularly with friends I’ve not physically seen for a long time and giving them a hug.

Going on holiday would love to go back to New York 🗽

Being able to go for coffee with friends

Meeting up for play dates for my LO’s

Just generally being able to do what we want like we used to.

What things are you looking forward to most?

Visiting my mum. We don’t live near each other and I haven’t seen her in person since this began

Going to the theatre - my favourite thing

Taking the kids to the cinema and the swimming baths, which we love

Meeting up at friends’ houses!

Not having to constantly tell my son no to the things he normally loves to do or fun things we like to visit and him knowing it’s because of covid

Go out for cocktails and dinner with friends/my sister

Have a get together with my family at Mum’s house

Go on holiday to somewhere sunny and lovely with DH and DS

Have a weekend away with DH

(Ok I’ve been greedy and picked 5!)

Family & friends that don't live close

Travel

Meals out

Freedom

Seeing my mum.
Going to church and hugging/singing
Going out for a meal.
School.

Going back to the office

Seeing my Dad who lives in Scotland (I'm in England) and I last saw in January last year

Going for a meal and night away with DH

DCs being able to go to their friends houses

Holidays to look forward to

Seeing my family and friends
Going out for an impromptu coffee with a friend
A trip to the beach (in England)
Going to see a gig/show - anything live really

spontaneity - just simply being able to do what I want, when I want

more specifically:

• theatre
• galleries (galleries were brilliant in the June-November period, social distancing is brilliantly suited to exhibitions)
• restaurants
• cinema

I’m looking forward mostly to not doing all the stuff mentioned already but having the freedom to choose if I want to do something and be allowed to do it.

Train trips to country walks with lovely pubs.
Visiting my friends and family abroad.

Seeing my family & friends.
Taking DC swimming.
Going to bootcamp sessions.
Going out for dinner.

I can't wait

Topping up the Botox
Going out to a restaurant
Going to the theatre/ballet

The top one will be not even needing to think about any of these things; just being able to do them. The other three will include being able to see my son, who lives in the same part of the country I live in; being able to spend time with family, without it being a criminal offence; and being able to frequent my local pubs/restaurants again (if they've survived).

Going to my son's restaurant when it reopens. So worried it never will if things go on much longer.

I'm not very sociable but omg to have a party ... get dressed up, few drinks, people! Dancing, omg yes please

Going on a nice holiday abroad
Having a meal out with some friends
Sitting indoors for a coffee in the warm with dm
Going to see some live music (have tickets for October but not even sure that'll go ahead 🙄)

Popping into my parents' house for a coffee.
Live music.
Making plans with a large group of friends.
Education returning to normal.

Seeing/hugging family and friends
Going away on holiday
Going to places like pubs/bars/restaurants that can actually be full of people and have an atmosphere
Going out for spontaneous coffees and brunches

A pint at my local pub
A scale and polish

A trip to our happy place Disneyland Paris.

Becoming a dance and football mum again.

Meals out with my lovely friends

A trip to our family place in Spain.

Being able to plan ... Just looking forward in life again...
