Group on FB

So I joined a group of women on FB. To support each other during lockdown and generally have a chat and a nice time online. Ater a week or so the admin changed a photo of the group to one with 5 women holding hands, the pic was taken from back, so no faces. IT was a painting or so from 50's I think or could've been done in retro style. I pointed out that the picture was not inclusive as it was only showing white women and didn't have other women of colour or ethnic minorities. I got a lot of abuse back. Was I wrong? I am a bit shocked and disheartened that in 2021 I had to raise this and no one really was bothered and nearly all the women asked me to shut up and not talk about it

Well she's basically being told to shut up and not talk about it on this thread so I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's what happened.

Yup. What's all this about? Discomfort about having to consider people other than themselves?. Fear that diversity of group night encourage blacks, Irish and dogs? Seriously op you can do better than this bunch fear filled controlling xenohobes, life is too short. Plus they sound mean af

@UnshakenNeedsStirring apparently the creator of the group left and started a new one due to an argument over Covid. She’s posted on other groups I’m a member of.

@MorganKitten thats a bit weird. Id never join one of her groups.

God help u if u point out something on one of these groups, they are filled with single mothers raging at their exes, you can't see the kid but gimme the child support group...
Don't go near them, filled with bitter women.
I asked one time why so many pictures of pregnancy tests asking if they are pregnant, one had said she took 4 tests and couldn't make out if there was a faint second line, my reply was if she could read then why not read instructionsx the abuse I got, they came on my profile page and gave me abuse calling me names and even my kids were called ugly.
To me anyone with sense avoid these groups they are something wrong with them mentally. Shouldn't be mothers half of them that are on it.

@Leannethom85 spot on, the hatred on such groups is appalling. In staying clear of them
