I disagree with all Tories, because I am not a Tory, but I certainly don't hate them all. I didn't hate Theresa May, for example. I thought she was wrong about many things, and I was deeply frustrated by some of her actions/decisions, but I also recognise that she was motivated by a genuine commitment to public service and doing the right thing, even if we didn't agree on what that right thing might be. Same with my previous Tory constituency MP. I disagreed with her on many things (not all) but am happy to acknowledge that she worked hard as a constituency MP and wrote to express my support for her when she started receiving death threats etc.
I might struggle to identify any Tories who I particularly like, as their values are fundamentally different to mine. However, I certainly don't hate all of them, and I accept that some are motivated by a genuine desire to do what they think is right. I can respect that, even if I don't agree with them about what "right" might look like.
Boris is motivated by a genuine desire to benefit himself, with little heed for anyone or anything else. I'm afraid I'm unable to find any respect for this.
Just completely pinching this because it sums up my feelings too! I agree that Theresa May was motivated by a desire to do what is right for Britain, even though I don't vote Tory. Same for John Major. Whereas I think Boris is only motivated by what is best for Boris.
