Just that really. I neither like nor dislike him I don't feel any emotion towards him.
AIBU to ask why so many people on here hate/dislike Boris Johnson?

I'm waiting for Clav to turn up with a CnP

Just found this if it helps;

PARIS — Donald Trump seems to think he has at last found a friend in Europe who isn’t Nigel Farage.

In an interview with Britain’s ITV broadcast Sunday, Trump described French President Emmanuel Macron as “a friend of mine” and a “great guy,” repeating his first name and smiling to himself. He fondly recalled his visit to Paris at Macron’s invitation last July, when he was guest of honor at the Bastille Day military parade and enjoyed a fancy dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant. No wonder Macron will be the first world leader to be invited to Washington for a state visit later this year. Grin

(Starmer) He did nothing about the industrialised rape and torture of thousands of vulnerable white women and girls in Rotherham and protected Jimmy Saville from prosecution

Jeez talk about Qanon and the deep state!

The police gather evidence, they took the decision not to investigate these awful crimes.
Thatcher protected Saville, just as she did Pinochet.

However, here is a A* for rewriting history... again!

Clavinova · 10/01/2021 18:07

2019 -

Trump seemed to minimize any conflict and praised Merkel with his usual over-the-top exaggeration, calling her “a great friend of mine.”

“She’s a fantastic person, a fantastic woman, and I’m glad to have her as a friend,” Trump said.

Clavinova · 10/01/2021 18:11

Trump had agreed with von der Leyen’s predecessor Jean-Claude Juncker back in 2018 to start negotiations on a new trade deal to avoid imposing tariffs...
“And quite frankly, Jean-Claude was a friend of mine but he was impossible to deal with.

Sorry I can't see the bit where Boris says he isn't Trumps friend. So, not that doesn't help. How many atoms had to die so you could waste their electrons there ?

Still, I'm nothing if not patient (and snippy). So you can have another run up if you like.

The Whitehouse March 2020;

Remarks by President Trump and Prime Minister Varadkar of Ireland Before Bilateral Meeting.

Q Mr. President, would you like to see the Prime Minister return to the White House next year? He’s trying to form a government at home. Would you like to see him back as Prime Minister?

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, he’s a friend. I always want him to return because he’s a friend...

PRIME MINISTER VARADKAR: We’d like to see you back in Ireland again for a longer visit, I hope, next time.

jasjas1973 · 10/01/2021 18:21

I would say there are many hard right wing posters on here, far more than there is leftwing posters

Nonsense, Hard right??

Anyone supporting todays tory party is supporting a hard right party (their manifesto has a lot in common with FN/AFD) a party a million miles removed from even Thatchers con party, let alone Heaths.

Sorry I can't see the bit where Boris says he isn't Trumps friend.

2015 -
"When Donald Trump says there are parts of London that are ‘no go’ areas, I think he’s betraying a quite stupefying ignorance that makes him frankly unfit to hold the office of President of the United States."

Johnson is going to have problems with Biden as POTUS, Bojo said some fairly unflattering things about Obama.

Boris Johnson has criticised the US president Barack Obama and suggested his attitude to Britain might be based on his “part-Kenyan” heritage and “ancestral dislike of the British empire”

Should Harris become POTUS, those issues will grow! she apparently hates BJ.

Fortunately for BJ, the US has its own problems to deal with.

Clavinova · 10/01/2021 18:28

Anyone supporting todays tory party is supporting a hard right party

So, Jacinda Ardern is 'hard right' because of New Zealand's immigration policies?

The hounding of Boris for his ‘Kenyan’ comment is the dumbest Twitterstorm yet.

Sorry I can't see the bit where Boris says he isn't Trumps friend.

Me neither.

May 2018:

'If Trump can fix North Korea and the Iran nuclear deal then I don't see why he's any less of a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize than Obama' says Foreign Secretary BorisJohnson

www.politico.eu/article/us-president-donald-trump-deserves-nobel-peace-prize-if-he-solves-iran-korea-crises-says-boris-johnson/

July 2018:

“I am increasingly admiring of Donald Trump. I have become more and more convinced that there is method in his madness.” These comments, subsequently leaked, were made last month by Boris Johnson, who was then Britain’s foreign secretary. Never one to discount praise, Mr. Trump reportedly expressed an interest in meeting his “friend” Mr. Johnson during his visit to London this week, noting that Mr. Johnson has been “very, very nice to me, very supportive.”

Did she vote for Johnson? no, so once again what you post is irrelevant.

If you substituted FN for Tory, there is a remarkable cross over, in fact, the UK has already gone further or achieved FN goals.

jasjas1973 · 10/01/2021 18:37

Ah, a right wing newspaper supports Bojo over his Obama comments.....

What a surprise.

jasjas1973 · 10/01/2021 18:39

.....and no one can forget T.May fawning herself over Trump, the rump tory party has always supported the far right

But they are all after the 2015 cite that Clav dug up provided. Surely there's a mistake somewhere. There must be. Otherwise all Clav has done is prove that Boris is a hypocrite of the first order. And I don't think they wanted to do that. Even if it's inevitable. And true. I get the sense they'd much rather post about somebody else as if it in any way changes the fact that Boris is a liar, a cheat and thug.

Who remembers them feeding the Bush campaign against Clinton ?

I bet Biden does.

But they all chat the same shit. That's the point
SabrinaThwaite · 10/01/2021 19:26

It’s just deflection to say “oh, but look at Macron”.

Johnson has made some very poor decisions sucking up to Trump.

Peregrina · 10/01/2021 19:34

2015 Clavinova - before Johnson and cronies needed to start crawling up Trump's arse.

Now when the Tories get the knives out for Johnson, will we see Rees-Mogg, Patel, Gove and company stand by him? I am not going to bet on it.
