I love my DH, but he's said he wants to call our baby Marrack if we have a boy (apparently Gfather name). I've vetoed it, won't he be bullied!? AIBU?

I think that's a really nice name. If you don't like it though you can't use it

I have an extremely unusual middle name (after my great-great-great-grandmother) because my Mum fell in love with it when she saw it in family papers. I love it too; I often use my full name now, but I'm glad it's 'just' my middle name. I certainly was as a child when I used to pretend it was Louise like everyone else

never heard it before but I like it........but if you don't then you can say no, surely you both need to like the name

I'm with PenCreed, if the baby's grandfather is Marrack Goulding then I would absolutely use it in honour of him. I met him and his Father (Sir Irvine) a few times, lovely gentlemen.
...and MIG is a cool nickname Grin

Isn't unilaterally vetoing a name chose by 50% of the baby's parents a form of bullying? By all means suggest you agree on an alternatve, even having this as a middle name, but don't polish your halo regarding bullying! Would you accept him vetoing a name you want?

I'd never heard the name before. I looked it up and found this:
