Just that really, do you use a purse and if not then what do you use for your cards etc instead?

YABU - obviously I use a purse, stupid question
YANBU - purses are sooo 2010 and are cumbersome. Of course I don't.

No longer need a purse, everywhere I shop accepts contactless and I can use my phone for that! Don’t own a handbag any longer either (and I am happy about this because I detested handbags and purses)

Purse user. But I do have a curve card in my phone which is great, as I can switch between various cards and accounts.

Loyalty cards are in my Stocard App, so although I probably don't need a purse, I don't feel right without one.

Yes, it’s got anti fraud properties built into it too..

farawayplanet · 04/01/2021 19:14

No, I just have my debit card in a slot inside my phone case.

I have 2 bank accounts, one (only used for major purposes and on holidays) credit card and 2 points cards.

Both banks use android pay, and my tesco club card app also has a pay feature, the other is also an app on my phone. I only use a purse on holiday (I shit you not I have 15€ from a trip in February 2020, 3 stamps and a drawing ds made many years ago in my purse, just dug it out from the drawer of doom in the kitchen)

Why do you lovely vipers have/need so many cards? Am I missing out on carrying so much tempting plastic around with me? Does storing these mini sheets of transaction-enabling, points-collecting magic bring joy to your lives?

I have FOMO, tell me what I'm missing...
@Angeldust747 There's not a limit with Apple Pay like there is for contactless with a card. You can spend over £45 with Apple Pay.
Tesco pay app allows you to pay up to (I think) £500 in store and collect points, no need to worry about apple/android pay

Yes I use a purse couldn’t be without it.

baileysisforme · 04/01/2021 19:28

I had a lovely purse that I used all the time. I got it for a special birthday as it was expensive. Someone broke into my car and stole it after I accidentally left my bag on the passenger seat

BogRollBOGOF · 04/01/2021 19:29

I normally used a purse but with going to so few places since March, I'm managing with the card slots on my phone case.

It will be a good sign of normality when O dust my purse off again.

Sgtmajormummy · 04/01/2021 19:51

I recently found out the style of purse I’ve been using for the last 25+ years is a matinée purse, good to know when I buy the next one. I can’t imagine being without a purse (oldie!).
And, if necessary, my phone fits inside it.

sbhydrogen · 04/01/2021 20:07

I used to carry my debit card in my back pocket, but I bought a little card holder a couple of years ago (like the one pictured). I've not lost a debit card since.

In it I carry my debit card, credit card, Boots card, driving licence and Waterstones card.

Do you use a purse?
Sgtmajormummy · 04/01/2021 20:07

For those asking why I need a purse, as well as credit cards and one supermarket card I carry company ID, driving licence, donor card, bus season ticket, dry cleaning receipts, receipts for company expenses...
The list goes on!

MammaSchwifty · 04/01/2021 22:47

@jessstan1, use a handbag?! If I'm unwilling to be encumbered by a purse, you can imagine if I want to be dragging a bag around for the sole purpose of containing a purse! Pockets all the way!
