Just that really, do you use a purse and if not then what do you use for your cards etc instead?

YABU - obviously I use a purse, stupid question
YANBU - purses are sooo 2010 and are cumbersome. Of course I don't.

I have a lovely small wallet thing that my friend got me with my name on. Although I pay for everything with my phone!

GlowingOrb · 03/01/2021 17:42

I had pared down to a very minimalist water bottle pouch that could hold my phone and a few cards. Then I started needing to carry epipens and anti-histamines. I carry a crossbody sling bag now.

TheRaccoon · 03/01/2021 17:43

I don’t use one, haven’t got around 10 years. I keep my cards in the back of my phone case and haven’t carried cash for a long time.

Also, something about the word ‘purse’ sends shivers through me 😂

murbblurb · 03/01/2021 17:46

a wallet, one of those 'beach style' things designed for blokes. It is therefore long lasting, practical, not covered in pink fluffy shit and holds cards and cash.

wallet, small mobile (fortunately I run everything from home and so don't need to carry a power hungry fragile brick), keys, out the door. (plus face mask and sanitiser of course!)

jay55 · 03/01/2021 17:46

In covid times no. I just shove my cards in my bag pocket, as things are mostly cashless.
Normally yes.

yankeedoodledandee · 03/01/2021 17:48

No purse here. I can't even remember the last time i took my bank card out with me either. I just use Apple pay.

WunWun · 03/01/2021 17:50

I don't use one, but I don't think they're so 2010 Confused. I dont use a bag either because I don't see the point in carrying anything around when I can just put my card in my pocket.

helloxhristmas · 03/01/2021 17:51

I used to have a massive Radley wallet. I now have a small card holder and don't need anything more. My cards / store cards are all on my phone and I can't remember the last time I used cash tbh.i keep my main current account card and Monzo on me in case they fail from my phone or over the contactless but only learnt recently that Apple Pay has no limit.

Pinkfreesias · 03/01/2021 17:51

I could never do without a purse! Beside the usual stuff I have a mini glass nail file and I keep a couple of those cittin buds that are olive oil infused to wipe away any eyeliner or mascara that's has run.

I like to have a few purses in different sizes and styles, too, for different bags and occasions.

PawPawNoodle · 03/01/2021 17:52

I have a very nice card holder, I've no idea where my purse even is. All it has in it is my paper counterpart and a Superdrug points card.

1forAll74 · 03/01/2021 17:55

I have a purse, It's a bit old now, but got everything I need to contain all the usual things, like cards, loose money and notes, a few postage stamps,a small pen and a thin scribble pad, and two photo's, and a place to put shop receipts in etc. Its a tan colour, in leather, well perhaps fake leather. I bought it from a hospice charity shop about 5 years ago.

AgeLikeWine · 03/01/2021 17:55

I used to, but since the pandemic started I have completely stopped using cash. I now use a phone case cum card wallet. Don’t know what the proper name for these things is. I have had the same £20 note folded up in it since April

SantasAnus · 03/01/2021 17:55

I've always hated carrying a handbag. And the big purses annoy me.

I, like pp's, carry my card in my phone case and have done for a few years now. No issues with the magnetic strip thing.

vodkaredbullgirl · 03/01/2021 17:56

Yes always had 1 and a small handbag. Don't understand why some people have large handbags lol.

Escourtie · 03/01/2021 17:57

Just outta intrest two points

are those that just grab Phone/Card and put in pocket not worried about Pick Pockets?

if Apple Pay goes down when your shopping how do u cope if u have no cards on you sorry for my not knowing but i dont have Apple pay as dont have an Iphone

diddl · 03/01/2021 17:57

Yes-until recently when cards have been accepted for any amount!

SomewhereInbetween1 · 03/01/2021 17:57

No, nor do I own a handbag of any kind. I only ever need my bank card and driver's license that both go in my phone case, and my keys go in my other pocket.

SoDiorDarling · 03/01/2021 17:58

Nope. Card holder.

inquietant · 03/01/2021 17:58

I have a little card holder and put loose coins in a pocket

SquareOnTheHypotenuse · 03/01/2021 18:00

No. I keep my debit card and driving licence card in my phone cover. I keep coins in the car for car parks, shopping trolleys etc.

Lucieintheskye · 03/01/2021 18:00

I have a ridiculous amount of loyalty cards for coffee shops, garden centres etc and they'd end up floating around my handbag. I hate having my card in my phone case as if I lose one I lose the other.

PinkiOcelot · 03/01/2021 18:01

I have clicked YANBU, only because I currently don’t use a purse not because I think they’re so 2010.

I don’t currently use a purse because I have a phone cover that has slots inside for cards so I have all of my cards in there. I normally just pop to the shop with that in my pocket. However, I got a lovely bag and matching purse off dd for Christmas, so going to start using a purse again.

Not using cash as the moment hasn’t helped.

BrightonForWine · 03/01/2021 18:02

I do but I call it a wallet.

I can't understand why people put their cards and cash in their phone cover.
It makes it SO much more stealable (it's a new word now) and a nightmare to lose.

Bargebill19 · 03/01/2021 18:03

Purse for cash. Rfid blocker card holder thingy for all cards.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 03/01/2021 18:04

Had a new purse for Christmas. My cards, driving licence, coins and notes all fit in easily. I can’t imagine not having a purse. Just moved from a Radley purse/large wallet to a Yoshi purse.
