I would say

Pineapple on pizza is decent

OP posts:
Cokie3 · 03/01/2021 14:31

OP in last post means Op, as in operation.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/01/2021 14:31

I hate it when posters ask their husbands’ views on posts and then report back to us. Typically, ‘I just asked hubby and he said..’ who gives a fuck about what your DH thinks? As if his voice gives any more weight

Only permitted if a poster asks "My car is doing xyz it's a Toyota Pruis 2018 plate" and someone says "I'll ask my DH he's a Toyota mechanic" Grin

NuniaBeeswax · 03/01/2021 14:32

"Yet you’re still reading. Admit it, you love it really and enjoy the entertainment."

I admit, I'm weak. I just can't help but wonder who's going to be the first to vent their spleen about fat people/ dog owners/ non drivers/ single mothers/ whatever else passes for a radical opinion on here that we have daily threads about. And MN never disappoints.

funinthesun19 · 03/01/2021 14:33

Veganism is BULLSHIT! And super UNHEALTHY! No matter how much you whine and screech about it, you are being an idiot for not taking note that meat helped us develop the brains we have, and ignoring the TINY FACT that we are omnivores!

I just nodded at this in agreement while eating my lovely HAM salad sandwich Smile

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 14:34

If you vehemently deny The existence of something it doesn’t go away
It still remains a true observation and lived experience for someone who is not you
Like Protesting that class is not an issue. Anyway you've never experienced it so it can’t be a thing

JonasKahnwald · 03/01/2021 14:35

I don't understand the Mumsnet horror of owning a toilet brush

POO! On the brush! You have a clean toilet but a pooey brush sat in your bathroom! Just stick bleach down the loo or use a toilet duck disposable thingy and be done with it for the love of god 🤣

NuniaBeeswax · 03/01/2021 14:35

Maybe thinking that these threads always descend into posters throwing shit at each other like chimps at the zoo is actually an "unpopular opinion on MN" 🤷‍♀️

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 14:36

Just a heads up, vegans and vegetarian don’t faint at mere mention of meat
I’ve eaten a tofu ramen today but didn’t really feel need to shout about it

Lastfreakinglegs · 03/01/2021 14:36

That vaccines are not a silver bullet. Hope I don't get the thread pulled for saying that.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 14:37

I actually think it’s inevitable these threads become ill tempered or deleted
Or both

GrossePois · 03/01/2021 14:37

There’s nothing wrong with being or having an only child.

JonasKahnwald · 03/01/2021 14:37

Also if I meet a sahp in real life I'm massively embarrassed for them. Their life and relationship must be shit.

Thewiseoneincognito · 03/01/2021 14:37

@Lastfreakinglegs I was going to add that the vaccine won’t work but it may be too triggering for some to say that openly?

Lily193 · 03/01/2021 14:38

I believe the concept of 'family money' is a load of bullshit. DH agrees.

Mochudubh · 03/01/2021 14:39

@CrotchBurn

Your children shouldn't have a deciding vote in where you live, who your friends are, what house you buy.

"Mental health" isnt a get out if jail free card to consistently put your own feelings over everyone else's.

You dont have anxiety: you feel slightly on edge in social situations like 98% of us.

Its totally fine for animals to lick your face. It doesn't bother Noel Fitzpatrick.

Being a parent isn't equivalent to a full time job.

All of this.

On the contrary, it looks like a very nice life to me. It would have bored me witless but I can definitely see its appeal.
bluebluezoo · 03/01/2021 14:41

That marriage doesn’t always offer “protection”. Sometimes you are worse off and risk losing any assets you do have.

Ginfordinner · 03/01/2021 14:42

Wow. There are some seriously horrible and judgemental posts on this thread.

Twobrews · 03/01/2021 14:42

That's a popular MN opinion.

JonasKahnwald · 03/01/2021 14:42

@Hippopotas

Not all men are abusive it controlling Trans women are women
In what way are transwomen the same as women? Women (actual women) only have biology in common. Transwomen do not have the same biology as women (obviously) so how on earth can they be women?
funinthesun19 · 03/01/2021 14:43

Some people have said on this very thread that apparently it’s animal abuse to eat meat. So I do think some people would faint at the mention of a ham sandwich to be honest Grin

HmmSureJan · 03/01/2021 14:43

@JonasKahnwald

Also if I meet a sahp in real life I'm massively embarrassed for them. Their life and relationship must be shit.
See I was totally opposite. I used to feel sorry for parents who had to work and couldn't be with their kids 🤷🏼‍♀️
Poorlykitten · 03/01/2021 14:44

Some people happily dump their children with other people just so they can earn more money and buy more useless shot and live in a unnecessarily large house. Ask the child later on if he/she preferred to have fancy holidays or some quality time with their parents...

Cokie3 · 03/01/2021 14:44

@JonasKahnwald

Also if I meet a sahp in real life I'm massively embarrassed for them. Their life and relationship must be shit.
So you're saying our grandparents and great-grandparents and great-great (etc) grandparents lives and relationships were all shit? Multi-generations? Because it's only been for the last 40 odd years that it has been common for both parents to work. Until then, every family had a SAHM in general.
HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 14:45

I don’t have to work,I chose it,I want to be away from the kids and dp
I need something for me,that’s about me,not them
