To decide my husband and his sister are nuts?

SIL phones today (before BJ announcement) and says how nice it would be to go away as a family once Covid is under control.
My husband agrees with her and then they proceed to discuss going away in April next year. My SIL says she'll look for some deals online.
When my husband tells me this I said they're mad. I'd love to think everything will be normal by April but isn't it unrealistic? I told him he'd better make sure if she books something we're guaranteed a refund if we can't go. He got moody saying I'm being miserable for not wanting to go on holiday and that with the new vaccine of course things will be normal.
I text my SIL (as my husband obviously wasn't going to) saying lovely idea but make sure we can get a refund just incase. She hasn't replied two hours later so she's probably on a mood too.
Surely it's really unreasonable to plan anything for 2021 yet?
YABU it's fine to plan a holiday
YANBU don't plan anything yet

Medical professionals who were once for the vaccine are back peddling. This “third strain” is in UK. Interesting you include yourself with the rest of the world as an American speaking for the rest world? Steep. Whatever USA does foreigners are always interested. Positive or negative lol. These non-citizens are always asking me what’s going on here. You if anything ought to know majority can be wrong. But use wisdom, are all isolated cases lies? The truth is present but we dig through all the lies to find it. Those are the nations today. You think that article I posted was broadcasted often on the news? Conveniently it wasn’t. Your assumption that the rest of the world discerns and Americans do not? People are dying here. Do I trust the count? Absolutely not lol. Too many inconsistencies. If you want to take fallible Covid test & want to take the vaccine have at it. No one here is trying to convince you what action to take. My comment was for the article posted. Depart in peace.

The realities are that holidays in April are unlikely, but if your DH and SiL want to plan, that's fine, it might make t h em feel better.

As much as I hate to say this, I don't think we'll come out of lockdown til March so you are the reasonable one!
