Hospitals boot peo3 out in the middle of the night all the time. Which is obviously unacceptable so why not go for a life saving jab at any time

5zeds · 31/12/2020 01:13

Not only would I do it but I’d help if I could to make it happen for everyone. I reckon I could give a jab/clean an area/drive someone with transport problems/whatever, I think there are lots who could and would.

Clusterfckintolerant · 31/12/2020 01:16

Yes. And I'd be very grateful.

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 31/12/2020 01:20

Absolutely. Any time, any day.

Kwiksavenofrillsusername · 31/12/2020 01:20

Yep. Not a problem. I’d also be happy to drive my grandma and others without transport to their appointments.

WoahBodyforrrm · 31/12/2020 01:20

Absolutely 100% I would!!

I think it's a great idea. Those who genuinely can't get there easily should be given normal appointments. I'd be as flexible as needed, it's the least I can do 💉

WagnersFourthSymphony · 31/12/2020 01:22

I'd do it any time anyway, but would volunteer if it freed up daytime for people whose timetables are more constrained.

lovelemoncurd · 31/12/2020 01:23

Yes 3 am would suit me because I'm always awake then!

Justgivemewine · 31/12/2020 01:30

Err yes

Itsonlymakebelieve · 31/12/2020 01:31

Absolutely and if my DH and I could get an appointment time together even better as he would have to drive us there ( I don’t drive because of medical reasons) if not he would drive me for mine and go back another night for his. I’m a night owl but he is definitely not, he would get up for a vaccine though.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 31/12/2020 01:33

Well I'm a single mum so as long as it was on the nights exH has the kids then yes. I have had COVID and i really can't cope getting it again so I would bite someone hand off for a vaccine

Pumpkintopf · 31/12/2020 01:33

Yes, whatever time.

Rubybluesy · 31/12/2020 01:35

Definitely

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 31/12/2020 01:35

yes
hope it's easier to find than the testing centre in Hyde Park though - admittedly I wasn't feeling great & was a bit nervous, but I drove round in circles for half an hour and couldn't find it.
I did the "when do I get my covid vaccination" online thing this morning - it was suggesting mid to late Feb. No idea how accurate,
but will have to go back and look at whether it was anticipating 24/7 delivery.

thaegumathteth · 31/12/2020 01:37

Yep

Hurting888 · 31/12/2020 01:38

No I wouldn’t. It would have to be day time only for me

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 31/12/2020 01:45

when am I likely to get the vaccine?

The online calculator originally based on 1m weekly.
BBC website now suggests 2m weekly target with the second vaccine available.
I adjusted the figures to allow for that, and it brought my likely vaccination date forward by a month. But if the second vaccine doesn't require a second dose until twelve weeks.......

ToniTheDonkey · 31/12/2020 01:52

Of course I would.

loubieloo4 · 31/12/2020 01:55

Yes but depending where it's being given, I am unable to have the Pfizer one due to previous anaphylactic reactions in my past. I would risk it and have either if it was been given in a hospital.

Between July and September 😭
custardlemontree · 31/12/2020 02:04

Yes, I'd take any appointment offered

SilverBirchWithout · 31/12/2020 02:06

Yes, but it’s a pointless question.

As JVT pointed out at today’s press conference - delivering the vaccine quickly ie the logistics of carrying out the vaccination program isn’t the bit that’s delaying the speed of delivery. It’s getting the supply of batches of the vaccine, it needs to be manufactured and supplied by the companies who are producing. The volumes needed during a worldwide pandemic are mind-boggling.

MrsApplepants · 31/12/2020 02:11

Yes I would take any appointment time anywhere in the country, as long as I had enough time to travel there to be on time for the appointment.
I would bite their hands off if I was offered a vaccine!!

TurquoiseDragon · 31/12/2020 02:12

I would take any appointment to get the vaccine, even middle of the night if it came to it.

I just used the calculator posted by Mulhollandmagoo and it gave me an estimated date range between my daughter's birthday and my late mum's. A bit eerie for me.

If I go with having an underlying condition (morbidly obese, but very close to the next level down as I lose weight) it changes things to being about 2 months earlier. But that's dependent on people knowing I'm in that category (and I don't plan on staying there).

BungleandGeorge · 31/12/2020 02:13

Early and late clinics are needed but overnight not so sure. Too many people will end up oversleeping and missing their appointments!
