Yes. On the basis that I manage to get up at that time to catch a holiday flight I'd definitely do it for a vaccine.

YerWanIsGettinNotions · 31/12/2020 00:02

Yes. DH works quite long hours and with my own work and the kids to get on with during waking hours, honestly I'd have a better chance of getting out to it at 2.15 am than if it was at say 2.30pm. I'd just sleep when the kids do and get up after a nap.

LouiseTrees · 31/12/2020 00:02

@openallthetime

no because lone parent
@openallthetime Wouldn’t you take your kid/kids with you? Wouldn’t they also be getting vaccinated?
Namechangeme87 · 31/12/2020 00:03

Id accept it at 3am , Injected into a fanny flap while listening to the sound of a thousand nails scraping along a chalkboard if it meant we could have some form of normal soon

I mean , yes .

AlwaysLatte · 31/12/2020 00:04

Yes, but given that they're offering them to over 80s first it might be a little tricky for them to get there for that time!

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 31/12/2020 00:04

Yanbu

Itsnotagazebo · 31/12/2020 00:05

Yes. Be very little traffic, easy to park up, little waiting. My life in 2020 has been relatively dull so this would be an adventure.

RosesAndHellebores · 31/12/2020 00:05

No problem.

BuzzingTheBee · 31/12/2020 00:05

Of course

It’s not clear how much you want it ha ha !
ineedaholidaynow · 31/12/2020 00:06

Children aren’t being vaccinated yet.

I would go at any time, but I wouldn’t expect my DM in her 80s to have a late night appointment

Porcupineintherough · 31/12/2020 00:06

Hell yes, anything to bring the end of this closer.

@LouiseTrees unlikely. No plans to vaccinate children (unless high risk) in the immediate future.

lioncitygirl · 31/12/2020 00:06

Anytime. I will wake my children up for it. Anything to put an end to this fucking madness.

Puzzledtenant · 31/12/2020 00:08

I'd happily go any time of night, night driving makes me anxious so it would depend where I needed to go for it but the actual inconvenience of going out at night would be fine by me.

Namechangeme87 · 31/12/2020 00:08

😂Grin

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 31/12/2020 00:10

Definitely.

Partly selfishly, because I'd get it sooner

But equally so it frees up more daytime appointments for those who need them

But that's also because I have a car, am happy to drive at night. If I had to walk or take public transport, then probably not. Not that there's any public transport around here after 7pm 🤣.

Are they genuinely suggesting this??

BabyofMine · 31/12/2020 00:10

Definitely, we have a car so would theoretically free up a day appointment for those using public transport.
An elderly man I know who has had the first injection of the vaccine did actually have a late evening appointment, and he was using public transport. If an octogenarian can get out on public transport in the pitch black without complaint then I would take any appointment going!

AndcalloffChristmas · 31/12/2020 00:12

Yes I’d take absolutely any time! I’d prefer really late night to early morning though!

Lexilooo · 31/12/2020 00:12

Yep, in fact I'd rather stay up and go at 2am than have a 6am appointment and have to drag my lazy arse out of bed early!

In reality I'd go whenever

Butterymuffin · 31/12/2020 00:12

@Luckypoppy

Most definitely- in fact I'd choose one so that the day appointments are left for those who need one.
This. I have a car and could get there. Not everyone would be able to. And the sooner I have it the better. Unlike Covid one late night won't kill me!
Plonque · 31/12/2020 00:14

Yeah, I mean I'd probably ask if they had anything else first but if not - yeah I'd go.

x2boys · 31/12/2020 00:14

If it was just me probably but ,I have a disabled child who needs constant supervision and my Dh works shifts ,so it would have to be convenient.

ForeverInADay · 31/12/2020 00:17

Absolutely, without a moments hesitation a d I'd be truly grateful to the staff there making it happen.

FairyontopofthetreeBatman · 31/12/2020 00:22

Nope I can’t drive due to an eye condition so DH would have to drive me, so DS would have to get up.

Ellmau · 31/12/2020 00:22

No. I don't drive and wouldn't feel safe.
