Sex Cape

About to get into a quickie when DH wrapped duvet around his shoulders and announced that it was his 'sex cape' ...

Anyone else married to their bestie who is also an absolute clown and can't help bringing it into the bedroom? I swear most attempts end in hysterics these days 😳🤪

OP posts:

@BrumBoo

This, exactly. OP said her OP put a duvet round his shoulders and made a joke of it. I can understand people posting that personality it would be offputting to them in the bedroom

Thats exactly what posters like me said though, no one said anything about the op giving TMI, that was later posts about inspecting vaginasand such (which is still not lighthearted behaviour however you excuse it). It's the ones determined to call anyone who doesn't agree with them 'prudes' and 'repressed' then act like it's everyone else being rude that's absolutely derailed this thread.

But the level of mockery and griping ia lighthearted post has attracted from some, including, speculation about the OP’s home furnishings is... weird. Lighten up and move on.

No one commented on the op's furniture, Jesus read posts properly before jumping in with the 'we were all having a laugh until you turned up' bull.

Your first response on the thread was very snarky to be honest. If it wasn't to your taste you could just have said so rather than comment the way you did which was clearly an attempt to put the OP down.

Oh God op, bet you wish you'd never started this thread! Hopefully you're now blissfully oblivious to the carnage wrapped up with Captain Fantastic!!

Genuinely, if people think that losing your inhibitions for sex is watching your partner do... well that, I'm the one feeling sorry for you. I mean if that's what gets you there then fair enough but I can assure you I've never needed to be inspected like a prized cow to have a fulfilling sex life or have my husband act like... John Cleese.

It's better than thinking porn is reality. We've already told DS sex is more 'argh you're kneeling on my tit again', 'shit I've got cramp in my arse!' than anything he'll ever see on a screen.

TheRogueApostrophe · 30/12/2020 00:03

I can't get over the idea that a man is "a keeper" because he was in disbelief that a woman hadn't had a c-section and proceeded to inspect her vagina. I'm guessing he'd subscribed to the "hilarious" and deeply misogynistic trope that a woman who's delivered babies vaginally must have a "fanny like a wizard's sleeve". An attitude that denotes the opposite of "a keeper" imo.

Something we can take away from this thread is actually differences on whether people want to take humour into the bedroom with them.

I know its popular to be like "sex is messy, things go wrong, it's good to have a giggle (fucking hate that word btw!) with your DP" but honestly....I don't want to mix humour and sex. Out of the bedroom i think I have a pretty good sense of humour but I just cant combine sex and humour. I just cant.

And even if I could the ministry of silly walks-style humour is not the type of humour I would be drawing on. Basically for me to get off I need the guy to feel kind of powerful and in control. That's not going to happen when hes goose stepping around the bedroom in novelty socks or adorning his dick with tinsel or pretending to be a horny christmas elf or whatever the fuck else some of the "krazy" men in these anecdotes do. Sorry!

Ha! This thread is gold! People upset on a thread titled 'sex cape' at oversharesGrin

We laugh too, but more 'flight of the conchords' rather than Benny Hill.

CrotchBurn · 30/12/2020 06:41

@Maudythebudgie
Now I'm imagining your partner propped up on one elbow at eye level with your bits singing foo de fa fa fa fa fa...😁

Maudythebudgie · 30/12/2020 07:08

@CrotchBurn... it's business time

MysweetAudrina · 30/12/2020 08:15

I like to take sex serious and find humour during it off putting. I remember being on holidays in a mobile home once and the dc were occupied at some kids club so we decided to take the opportunity to have sex. I had packed a black Lacy top and knickers which I went to change into. Dh feeling underdressed for the occasion thought that wrapping his knob in tinfoil to dress it up a bit would be a turn on. Being presented with a tinfoiled cock did not elicit the response he was hoping for.

MargeProopsSpecs · 30/12/2020 08:36

@Cattermole

My lovely man looks like a gonk. (Hairy, tubby, beard, ponytail, big nose, twinkly little eyes and glasses.) If I am sad, he has a habit of doing naked star jumps. He's going to ask me in a minute what I'm laughing at....just the thought of the naked star jumps.
Omg! Grin Grin Grin
DressingGownofDoom · 30/12/2020 10:00

There's a reason Poldark didn't wear a sex cape when he was seducing Demelza.

79andnotout · 30/12/2020 12:38

I think Aiden Turner is about the only man I would forgive doing a duvet sex cape act. Bring it on.

TatianaBis · 30/12/2020 16:53

Sex cape doesn't really bring Aiden Turner to mind, more like Bill Bailey doing the Paso Doble.

DressingGownofDoom · 30/12/2020 17:10

@TatianaBis OMG GrinGrinGrin

Does your dp still use the cape, or has the novelty worn off ?
Kissthepastrychef · 17/05/2021 23:07

Well it's appropriately named for some more sex-cape-ades. Boom boom 😂
