How have your Christmas food deliveries worked out?

Ocado have delivered me no gammon and a chicken that goes off on Christmas Eve so now I need to brave the shops and keep my fingers crossed.

How has everyone else faired?

Google says 24h in the fridge for every 5 lb of chicken.

Adsa click and collect - absolutely reasonable. 4 substitutions, nothing that can't be worked around. Missing one item but it was only biscuits cos I'm greedy. I feel quite lucky overall!

No sprouts. Tesco substituted 'greens' for sprouts last night.
With all that has gone on over the last months this was actually the straw that broke the camels back and I wept in the click and collect bay. Poor Tesco woman went to hug me and I leapt backwards and fell off the kerb ( thankfully managed to stay upright) .

DH thinks I've lost my mind( and he's probably right). 'First world problem: we'll be having shredded Savoy cabbage with bacon instead of sprouts shocker'.
Otherwise only a couple of substitutions and nothing unsuitable.

We had click and collect orders from both Aldi (picked up on Monday) and M&S (picked up yesterday afternoon). The only small issue was the flood I had to drive through to reach M&S, but otherwise all fine. All present and correct, no substitutions.

No cream, no lasagne dip, subs for spicy chicken bits and prawn something or other. Not too bad although my daughter has been patiently waiting for the lasagne dip for weeks! Although we did get a pizza one so all is not lost Grin off to post on the Christmas fridge thread now

Morrisons click and collect this year as couldn’t get a delivery slot, collected at 8am this morning, all items there - no subs and all has really good dates on it, very impressed with the system, I didn’t even get out the car they brought it out and put it all in the boot for me...will def use again Xmas Smile

Tesco managed everything except a frozen pizza subbed for something still fine but not my favourite, and a different type of potato that was equally fine. We’ve generally done well out of Tescos this year. We did get a gammon, pigs in blankets, stuffing and some cheese from a local farm which we pre-ordered and picked up yesterday with no fuss. Had a turkey from the same place last year and that was great but with just the two of us we’ve not bothered with a bird this year.

Chicken update - they were in the fridge from 12pm and are still frozen solid so are now defrosting in the kitchen overnight.
