She’s 51 and looks like she’s in her 30s naturally, with no cosmetic intervention other than make up IMHO. How?!

OP posts:
SunsetBeetch · 06/12/2020 17:16

She looks amaxing, but c'mon she doesn't look like she's in her 30s.

Sockmonster23 · 06/12/2020 17:48

I saw her Easter 2019 at a kids event,. Very normal event and she looks lovely, great dress sense but real life you can see her age, she does look around that age maybe Kate 50’s just she dresses nice, very well kept, looks after herself etc. She does look different than on TV!

Sockmonster23 · 06/12/2020 17:49

Meant she looks late 40’ s 50’s but just looks amazing because she takes care of herself, money probably helps lol

dontgobaconmyheart · 06/12/2020 18:11

I find it highly unlikely she is the only woman in the industry to not have had some sort of botox, hair extensions microblading, eyelash extensions, tan, teeth whitening etc when she presents prime time tv. She's looks fab and that's personal choice of course but I really wouldn't compare the looks of a 'normal' person (like myself, say, who does almost nothing and doesn't even go to the hairdresser) to someone that routinely is made over and touched up on every possible way at great expense, full studio makeup and on the likes of Instagram, what look to be a very keen use of filters, high budget for everything she wears, a tailor, skin treatments. It's not a legitimate comparison and doesn't lead to anything healthy.

Of course she is aided by having typically 'model's looks in the first place but I'm sure she looks very, very different at home in real life fresh out of bed of a morning and so on. I randomly saw her IG the other day and some of her pics look nothing like her, if you zoom in they're pretty filtered and blurred and no close ups. Not something unique to her but what we see isn't always quite reality is it.

Her husbands a right creep, she could do better.

SurreyHillsGirl · 07/12/2020 07:59

@Tropicana218

Gwen Stefani is also 51 but could easily pass for 30, she looks amazing !
Err she does not look 30! So much hyperbole on this thread. GS looks like she has fallen into a vat of Botox and filler, she is drowning in procedures.
justanotherneighinparadise · 07/12/2020 10:37

I LOVE Gwen Stefani. I just think she is super super cool and her new relationship makes me happy. It’s obvious he adored her. Her ex was just a massive, massive tool.

justanotherneighinparadise · 07/12/2020 10:37

Bluesheep8 · 07/12/2020 10:44

Plenty of money to pay for very discreet surgery. And the same to pay for very discreet surgeons.

I think you mean super kawaii

Calmandmeasured1 · 07/12/2020 11:12

She does look lovely. She has obviously improved in the looks department and that doesn't usually happen in the ageing process. I'd be extremely surprised if she hasn't had some cosmetic work done. I note she also looks as if she has lost weight and become more toned since the last series of Strictly (even though she was slim before).

Tbh, I wouldn't like to be her though, with a husband who sexted a model, apologised and then did it again a few years later. Poor Tess might feel she has to constantly improve to keep her DH happy and because she is in the public eye, surrounded by beautiful people (when in make-up). That's no life.

Mrsjayy · 07/12/2020 11:18

Well she was beautiful to start with attractive people don't turn fugly once they hit 35 she is a gorgeous looking woman who has more than likely had some Botox fancy face peels and hits the gym/excerises at home.

Mrsjayy · 07/12/2020 11:20

I don't buy this they look "30" either it's just ridiculous to say that imo.

Yeah I don't think its helpful for any woman's self esteem, including Tess Daly's. It's ok to look your age!
MrsMiaWallis · 07/12/2020 11:35

She doesn't look her age. Only 12 year olds naturally have the kind of plump smooth face Tess Daly has.

Mrsjayy · 07/12/2020 11:39

It. Is absolutely ok to look/be 51 even if you have had a bit of help here and there we mustn't be scared of age. Tess Daly is gorgeous but she is 51 leave the 30 year olds looking 30 Smile

bluebell34567 · 07/12/2020 11:45

i dont think she had any major thing done.
maybe some botox here and there and very good skin care.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 07/12/2020 11:56

It is part of her job to look good.

TV personalities are not spending 9-5 every day 48 weeks a year rehearsing & filming . They are required to look good, so will spend far more of their time in pursuit of a flawless appearance than your average office worker etc.

Someone like Tess Daly may have a personal trainer working with her 2-3 hours a day. She may have a cook or at least a housekeeper providing very healthy cuisine to help her stay slim with good skin. She will have expensive beauty treatments and products to try and keep her skin & hair in excellent condition.

Not to mention that lighting and make up etc on tv programmes will be carefully configured to hide lines etc and make her look her best.

She looks good for her age but I don't think unnaturally so.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 07/12/2020 11:57

Oh and she doesnt look 30. She looks like an attractive well maintained woman her age and that's fine.

Ratatcat · 07/12/2020 12:20

Hair can make a big difference. My mil has an amazing figure for her age but she recently did something quite different with her hair and it took 15 years off her. The difference was incredible. I’m sure Tess will have had work but she is genetically blessed. Those with the model figure are always going to look better than those who are naturally dumpier.

FitterHappierMoreProductive · 07/12/2020 12:24

@Othering

I think keeping your jawline is genetic - both my parents are late 60s and neither are jowly at all, both still have very firm skin round their jaw lines. They otherwise have totally normal wrinkles for their age (they’ve had no work done) so I can only assume it’s genetics. Both their mums were similar, even at 90.

She doesn't look her age though. If she looked her age she'd look like that photo in the DM and the one someone posted upthread.
GreenlandTheMovie · 07/12/2020 13:06

MrsMiaWallis She doesn't look her age. Only 12 year olds naturally have the kind of plump smooth face Tess Daly has.

Some people naturally produce or already have higher collagen levels. Its associated with certain genetic mutations and is often present in North Asian people. But Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is present in Europeans and can result in this too.

I don't think Tess Daly is either North Asian or has Elhers Danlos
SunsetBeetch · 07/12/2020 13:32

She does look around her age, maybe 5 or so years younger. Turning 50 doesn't mean you suddenly turn into a wrinkly old lady. (Not that there's anything wrong with being a wrinkly old lady!)

GreenlandTheMovie · 07/12/2020 13:33

I have Ehlers Danlos to some extent, look very young for my age and have very thick collagen. I don't think anyone but a doctor specialised in the field can diagnose, and I was only diagnosed in my forties and only then because I kept dislocating my knees. If it hadn't been for that, no-one would have noticed.

My point is not to diagnose but to say that not everyone is the same. Some people just age slowly without the need for all the things that some of us get accused of having used. 50 isn't that old any more.
