I got deleted from a Facebook group about stupid things men say for commenting that this was an overly large portion, is it not?

Is this not a large portion?

A group for ‘stupid things men say’. What sexist crap. It is a large portion to me, but it sounds like a horrible group.

If I ate that I wouldn't even be able to put out.

@Mamanyt

It would be a huge portion for me, but probably reasonable for my 6 foot 10 inch (211 cm), very active son. As with so many things, it's relative.

That is true.

It’s a flipping massive portion but a lot of people are in denial about what they eat and why their fat.

It’s more offensive men say about women.

Well, you're bothered enough to make a thread.

For some people it's a big portion, for others it isn't. Nobody is right or wrong. It's like posting a thread to say 'Blue is nicer than red, isn't it?'

Im trying to garner OP why you feel the need a) to comment on the FB post about how big the portion is and B)start a thread about how large this randomers portion is. you have come on a second website to state how large a portion it is.

You seem to understand this was an odd and unecessary thing to comment, so why start the thread? Surely you understand why you were banned for this?

Ill comment on your thread as many times as I want.

Yes it’s a decent plate of food.
All the rest of it just sounds like utter nonsense.

Absolutely enormous!

I'm a runner, thin, and it's a normal portion for me. Stop spouting crap. Not everybody is the same (as you)

Covers a normal dinner plate. I probably wouldn’t finish it but it’s not gigantic.

I'm not sure it's a normal dinner plate as mine are bigger in proportion to even my largest cutlery. That looks like a step up from a side plate.

Definitely a big guy or gal eating that or a teenager. It’s enormous. Carb hell.

Looks very cheap as well
🤮

I'd easily eat that size portion if hungry even if it was more on a larger sized plate - as above i think that one is particularly small. I'm a size 8-10 41yo woman. However I agree I wouldn't eat they exact meal as it looks pretty unappetising, absolutely my own bolognese and garlic bread rather than plain.

I’d eat more than that, I’m a semi professional rugby player, I could increase my body fat by a fairly significant percentage and still not be over weight.

So you've now posted on two separate social media platforms just to criticise a portion size that was irrelevant to the original post you saw? Do you not think that's a bit weird? Are you generally this hung up on other people's food?

I’d dish that up for my boyfriend and my 15 year old would polish that off no problem. I’d give a bit less pasta though.

Sounds like a pretty shitty sexist group in the first place, so I would expect them to behave like this to be fair. Of course you shouldn't have been removed. Though commenting on the portion size sounds pretty weird to be honest.

Eckhart · 22/11/2020 12:27

The person eating it would absolutely be large as well

Why does this persist, this attitude that you can't eat and be a normal weight? It's not set in stone. You change it by exercising more or less, relative to the amount you eat.

Did you completely miss the point - is it a large portion because he wants his GF to put out a lot?
It does come across a rather humourless and negative response.

SoupDragon · 22/11/2020 12:27

I think it's a fairly small plate which makes the portion look much bigger but it does look like an awful lot of spaghetti!

Who gives a flying fuck on a portion size of food that isnt your own. Weird.

Er... the pic is a well known meme that’s all over the internet - the aim is to change the laptop pic & then insert your own “virtual dinner date” caption.

I'm fat size 18 to 20 and I would call that a large portion.

Report
HoppingPavlova · 22/11/2020 12:33

Doesn’t matter really, looks that bad no one would eat it so portion size is moot.
