I got deleted from a Facebook group about stupid things men say for commenting that this was an overly large portion, is it not?

@DominicCummingsBlog

Are you the same poster who put this pic up on here a while ago to ask if the portion size looked big? Confused
No, I haven’t posted anything in a long time

Yes it's ridiculously large!!

BigBlueBow · 22/11/2020 12:06

So why are you so confused? Why have you come on MN to post about what a large portion it is again? Really, its just a large plate of food I think you need to get over it.

Feministicon · 22/11/2020 12:06

@ILoveYoga

Large portion comment in a post about serving bolognaise for the date to put out

Was it because you made a risqué comment you got booted?

Nope, they said it was because of the portion size comment.

What are you banging on about, this has literally just happened and this is the first thread I’ve had in ages, I think it’s you who needs to get over it! You’ve said your opinion but feel the need to keep repeating it.

That's about my portion size Smile

TMIincoming · 22/11/2020 12:08

I would eat that and am lower end of normal weight for my height.

Feministicon · 22/11/2020 12:09

I certainly didn’t say anything about weight, just that it was a large portion which to me it is.

midnightstar66 · 22/11/2020 12:11

Well it's a pretty small plate as it's the same size as the fork. Mine are far bigger however I'd eat a portion like that even on a larger plate if I were hungry. Yes it's largish but had I not eaten for hours and had been outside and active I'd inhale it. Why were you commenting on portion size?

RaspberryCoulis · 22/11/2020 12:12

Yes it's a large serving. More than I would eat.

But I'm really just here for the posters who claim it would feed a family for a month and that they would only be able to manage one stars if spaghetti before being utterly stuffed.

Nathalie1975 · 22/11/2020 12:12

This would be a normal portion of pasta for me. Although I wouldn't have bread with it. I am not overweight.

MashedSweetSpud · 22/11/2020 12:12

That’s a huge portion. Even without the bread and salad leaves (which are probably swimming in oil).

Meepmeeep · 22/11/2020 12:14

Who gives a flying fuck about the size of another persons dinner? Do you only eat off a tiny side plate and take one mouthful before you’re full for the week?

Thewiseoneincognito · 22/11/2020 12:14

Definitely a big guy or gal eating that or a teenager. It’s enormous. Carb hell.

Looks very cheap as well 🤮

jessstan1 · 22/11/2020 12:15

Looks big to me. Why is there bread on the same plate?

I don’t know, just because I thought it was large no secret hidden reason but lesson learned

It was a man from America, don’t know what he looks like as he isn’t on the group.

Yes totally.

Covers a normal dinner plate. I probably wouldn’t finish it but it’s not gigantic.

Eckhart · 22/11/2020 12:18

Can you really get worked up over this? That's amazing.

Bluntness100 · 22/11/2020 12:18

What was th forum op? Was it a forum where food issues were being discussed?

It's a large portion. I used to eat like that and got fat.

No.

It would be a huge portion for me, but probably reasonable for my 6 foot 10 inch (211 cm), very active son. As with so many things, it's relative.
