I got deleted from a Facebook group about stupid things men say for commenting that this was an overly large portion, is it not?

Is this not a large portion?

Not sure about the portion but anyone who serves spaghetti bolognese like that should be shot... you have to mix it together not dump the meat over dry pasta.

Beats me why people have to put this kind of stuff on FB, its very odd.

@Covidorcold

I've been thinking something similar. There's only a fork. How would one go about eating it or even trying to mix it together, especially with so little room on the plate?

@Scbchl

Who gives a flying fuck on a portion size of food that isnt your own. Weird.

This!

It bothered you so much you had to comment OP. Who gives a fuck if the person who ate it is a size 6 or a size 36, how does it exactly effect you? Some people eat more than others! I always hate the competitive under eating that happens on MN. Waiting for someone to say that would feed them and their 8 children for a month to pop up as they only eat one strand of spaghetti a day.

Why is the plate so small?

Report
lljkk · 22/11/2020 12:36

Deffo large. I eat a lot and that's about what I'd eat.

@Eckhart

Well, you're bothered enough to make a thread.

For some people it's a big portion, for others it isn't. Nobody is right or wrong. It's like posting a thread to say 'Blue is nicer than red, isn't it?'

And you’re bothered enough to comment.

@BigBlueBow

Im trying to garner OP why you feel the need a) to comment on the FB post about how big the portion is and B)start a thread about how large this randomers portion is. you have come on a second website to state how large a portion it is.

You seem to understand this was an odd and unecessary thing to comment, so why start the thread? Surely you understand why you were banned for this?

Ill comment on your thread as many times as I want.

Knock yourself out 😊

Unless that is a giant-size comedy fork, the plate is not a ful-size dinner plate. So, although heaped up, the portion is not as big as it looks.

A picture without scale does not accurately show sizes.

Is this for real?

Noone else making any connection here....especially with the 'put out' comment? Hmm

Just me then....

Oh great, a thread to get the competitive under-eaters all overexcited because it's sooo important that a bunch of strangers on the internet don't think you're a glutton.

Yes, I'm curious. As I said, I find the things people concern themselves with interesting.

Also, why were you entertaining a group about 'stupid things men say'? Don't you think that's a load of sexist claptrap, and the sort of group any decent person would be happy to be excluded from?

That is huge. I wouldn’t eat the next day after eating that. That's gluttony.

It's funny Grin

@WitsEnding

Did you completely miss the point - is it a large portion because he wants his GF to put out a lot?
It does come across a rather humourless and negative response.

It was the poster that made the comment about putting out

It is huge, especially with the garlic bread. I would say it was enough pasta for two people to share but I would definitely polish off all the garlic bread.

Looks normal to me. The fact people are saying its huge confirms to me why I'm no longer skinny 😂. Not overweight in terms of bmi although am close to it.

Meraas · 22/11/2020 12:41

I could easily eat all of that, if it was own spag bol. That doesn't look very appetising.

Do you not think it might be appropriate for a very tall and/or active person?

This.

It’s probably like one of those misogynistic Ladbible groups. Getting removed from there should be the least of your concerns.

Bingo! 😆

Seriously do you think this would still be undigested and causing you to be full up and above 24 hours later 😆

Grow up. Its a normal portion for lots of people who aren't remotely overweight.

If you eat that 3 times a day and sit on your arse all day you will like be overweight.

If its your main meal as part of a balanced diet and you exercise a lot you won't. What's hard to understand?

People are very sensitive about food I've found, so I keep my mouth zipped. I once 'That's a very healthy lunch' to a lady having a whole honeydew melon for lunch and she acted like I'd slapped her. I genuinely was just being friendly.
