I figured it can't hurt to share here (rather than on local Facebook groups!).

Mine are:
Sainsburys: Mini breaded cambemberts (bloody hell they're good!).
Aldi: Torro Loco red wine, and "extra special" cauliflower cheese
M&S: Dulce de leche truffles

All very healthy as you can see....

Bought two thermal tops in Lidl today for 4.99 each (one pointelle, one plain) and a two pack of grippy slipper socks for 3.99.

Wearing the socks now - feet divinely comfortable, they're seriously soft and fluffy.

These fish burgers from Aldi

Aldi frozen Salmon Wellington is lush. Comes with either cream cheese or white wine and prawns.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 28/11/2020 17:19

From this thread I'm saying basically anything from Aldi

Benjispruce2 · 28/11/2020 18:39

Not everything but you can’t go far wrong. The best thing about Aldi is the speed you can get in and out, the good quality and the price.

Benjispruce2 · 28/11/2020 18:41

Those fish burgers are lush in either Aldi’s brioche buns or their ciabatta rolls with tartar sauce and iceberg lettuce.😋

Gingerkittykat · 28/11/2020 20:23

OMG, I'd love a good fish burger to try and feed my love of a Fillet of Fish without spending a fortune and eating hundreds of calories for fries. I'm away to ALDI on my next shop, that's after I pick up my ASDA click and collect and before I go to LIDL to pick up their chopsticks and chocolate stackers that are like chocolate pringles!

WingBingo · 28/11/2020 20:30

This Prosecco from Tesco. £5.99 a bottle and it’s delicious.

I was going to scoff at the idea of getting in and out of Aldi quickly but DS and I went today at lunchtime and there was no queue at the check out. That is a first.
Add their plain Belgian truffles to your shopping list.

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 28/11/2020 22:08

Our Aldi is brilliant for queues. Everyone queues at the one checkout, despite staff yelling at them to spread our, and I can nip into one of the others and not queue at all. This has happened 3 times in the past couple of weeks.

CrocodilesCry · 28/11/2020 23:04

Just to report back on my buys...

Mango and chicken flatbread pizza 6/10 - tasted ok but bland even with extra cheese, couldn't taste any mango
Garlic bread in the big pizza box 9/10 would buy again
Garlic mayo 9/10 not as good as pizza place dip but a great mayo
Pretzel and salt chocolate 7/10 only because I absolutely hated the texture (too hard and lumpy, difficult to eat) but DH loved it
Jaffa cakes not tried yet
White chocolate liquer not tried yet
Torro Rosso rose 10/10 would buy again
Salt and chardonnay vinegar crisps 10/10 could eat ten bags
Beef and horseradish crisps not yet tried
Breakfast sausage patties not yet tried
Prawn cocktail crisps not yet tried
Lebkuchen hearts not yet tried

Wildrobin · 29/11/2020 03:44

I tried Torro Loco wine which was an organic red at i think £4.99, was that the right one ? Im wondering if it was the right one as wasn’t all that keen but it was still ok; I love this thread and trying stuff

Benjispruce2 · 29/11/2020 08:41

Toro Locco was £3.79 yesterday! It’s a nice, easy drinking 12.5% red wine.

Benjispruce2 · 29/11/2020 08:55

I think Aldi’s Grapevine Merlot is quite nice too and under £5.

lidoshuffle · 29/11/2020 09:40

I bought the Aldi Malborough Sauvignon Blanc (Makawaka??) as recommended up-thread and it was very good for the price.

AriesTheRam · 02/12/2020 19:10

These.I got them from Tesco.V boozy tasting.

This is a bit boring but if you have eczema and get annoyed with a loud and intrusive inquisition about whether you want to use it on your anus when you try to buy hydrocortisone at the chemist, Asda bite and sting relief is hydrocortisone and you can just buy it off the shelf with no anal questions.

VirtualLearning · 04/12/2020 20:20

I looked again and there were 2 or 3 Toro Locco wines in Aldi - tried another tonight and it was much better than the more expensive organic version ! Will definitely buy again.

M&S - apple crumble luxury yogurt. They tend to be a bit inconsistent with amounts of oats and apple, but when it's right it's perfect. Also their dirty fries and millionaire's bites, when I allow myself.

Sainsbury's - the green packets of green olives with garlic and herbs. I don't even really like olives, but I can eat these in front of the TV like a packet of crisps.

Gotthetshirt23 · 12/12/2020 13:24

No idea who mentioned them but Iceland's hot and spicy fish fillets .
One of the best fish finger sandwiches EVER !
Thank you Grin

CoffeeandCroissant · 12/12/2020 15:11

I regret to inform you that Tesco appear to have discontinued the frozen almond croissants. sadface.gif

justcallmepeter · 13/12/2020 10:53

@coffeeandCroissant

I have just added them to my next delivery.
Maybe check again?
I am in West Yorkshire btw 😊

BuntysTwinkle · 14/12/2020 12:07

I picked up the Sainsbury's chocolate chip cookie dough, thanks to whoever mentioned it, perfect warm cookies Smile

Aldi do chocolate stackers as well; they call them Waves.
