Enough already! Delusional, depraved, but DEFEATED. We may have to wait until Jan 20th but 45 will be GONE. McConnell is next...

I am more concerned about the damage he is doing by selling Artic oil rights, along with Afghanistan drawdown and noise about Iran's sanctions. He has lost. He knows it. The pushback against the vote is to encourage donations and I am willing to bet the oil rights will have some shady side deal going on, as well. The rest is revenge politics.

@Roussette

Thx for thread NorthW Smile

I watched bits of Deludi Rudy's press briefing. That Sidney woman... honestly you couldn't make it up. But not everyone in the cult is buying into this..

'Tucker Carlson just now destroys Sidney Powell after she claimed today that there was widespread, systemic fraud in the presidential election. Carlson says he invited her on the show, and asked to see any evidence she had supporting her claim, and she refused.'

What? Tucker Carlson grows a set of balls and stops being a Trump apologist (for a minute)?

@Lweji

Georgia is official now.
The margin is so narrow that Trump can ask for a recount (by machine) rather than the hand count audit which has just been finished. He does not have to pay for this recount so I guess he'll request, nay demand it.

Happy Birthday Joe Cake

Joe Biden turns 78 today. But he’ll turn 46 on January 20th.

Shall we all tweet that at Trump?
PerkingFaintly · 20/11/2020 10:00

Brew for all.

Because we need it.

New York Times
The president has also asked aides what Republican officials he could call in other battleground states in his effort to prevent the certification of results that would formalize his loss to Biden. Trump allies appear to be pursuing a highly dubious legal theory that if the results are not certified, Republican legislatures could intervene and appoint pro-Trump electors in states Biden won who would support the president when the Electoral College meets on 14 December

Surely if this happens it could be challenged in court by Democrat campaign? I don't see how any court - even one full of Trump appointees - could support this overturn of popular vote

Checking in to the new thread 🙏

Which may be the opening of a door to SCOTUS ?

Mitt Romney has spoken against Trump now, I read that on the BBC News app. Hopefully others will follow suit.

Mittens030869 · 20/11/2020 11:25

The Supreme Court Justices won’t support him like he’s probably expecting them to. They’ve both made oaths to judge ‘without fear and favour’ and to uphold the rule of law. Also, Trump can’t threaten to fire them, as they’re life-time appointees.

Because Trump is effectively starting - and I apologise for the imagery, but this is the US - to put targets on any and all Republicans backs. It's not just republicans that have looney tunes supporters. I'm pretty certain in some counties you could fill a hall with gun-toting frothing democrats who might just decided to Do Something Stupid.

I suspect that's one reason why Biden is trying to keep things calm.

I'm not really a fan of assassinations - they are usually an excellent example of where the capability rarely intersects with the competence and innocent people get hurt. There's also the very real danger of another Olive Stone film. And that just cannot happen.

BruceAndNosh · 20/11/2020 11:32

Several of the cases that have been thrown out have been done so by "republican" judges. I think Trump is overestimating how much clout he has

DGRossetti · 20/11/2020 11:32

Also, Trump can’t threaten to fire them, as they’re life-time appointees.

Does he know that though ? Serious question.

He seems to be under the impression that HE is a lifetime appointee
DGRossetti · 20/11/2020 11:39

Fun though this all is, I can't help but shake a deja vu from the UKs experience 2017-2019 when - despite no mandate from anyone - we were saddled with Theresa May heading a Tory government that managed to stay intact against all odds for two years.

I know the US has it's constitution and all that. But that didn't stop slavery and caused a civil war. Sometimes you need to actually follow something, rather than fetishising it (see also: "The Bible" - other religious texts are available. Terms and Conditions apply. Your soul may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments. For more details go to our website www.god.com ...)

His go-to option for dealing with dissent has always been to fire someone. He is in a for a rude awakening

I agree, I bet he doesn’t know that. It will serve him right if it goes to the Supreme Court and hears the Justices say to him, ‘No, Mr Trump, it’s you who are fired.’

Lonelycrab · 20/11/2020 12:35

Pmk. Well with another two months of this nonsense, and the toddler seems to be going rapidly insane I’m a bit worried where all this is gong to end up. Thanks for the threads as ever.
