From the article:
“If President Trump comes out and says: ‘Guys, I have irrefutable proof of fraud, the courts won’t listen, and I’m now calling on Americans to take up arms,’ we would go,” said Fryar, wearing a button-down shirt, pressed slacks and a paisley tie during a recent interview at his office.
See, I think this has more to do with idiots who have a 'Rambo Complex' than it does with 'honest but misguided' patriotism. They want to believe him because they want the excuse to go all 'Die Hard' on someone. They see themselves as some sort of hero who just needs the chance to prove how heroic they are. But when push comes to shove they won't be marching in the ranks.
I know that an anecdote isn't evidence, but we have some (former) friends who are just like this. They say it's a true patriotic fervor but they've wanted to 'take up arms' for a myriad of stupid reasons for the last decade, from 9/11 (When 'they' come up my driveway I'll be ready!), to Sandy Hook prompting calls for firearms reform (When 'they come up my driveway I'll be ready!"), to the recent food shortages (When 'they' come up my driveway I'll be ready!) to now Scrotus (When 'they' come up my driveway I'll be ready!). Yes, I agree that there are some real nut jobs and neo-Nazis out there who really would take up arms for Scrotus, but I think the rank and file of them would find reasons to slink away from any real 'action'.
