Oh and the GOP Senator behind the attempt to wrest control of Pennsylvania electoral votes has tested positive for coronavirus.
He got the results while IN THE MIDDLE OF A MEETING WITH TRUMP.

Is there a very real possibility that the GOP could lose the Senate ?

BruceAndNosh · 01/12/2020 11:49

Only if GOP lose both Georgia seats in run off. I personally think it will be difficult for Democrats to flip both seat but this entire election season has the byline Fuck Knows!

Is Trumps behaviour making Republicans less attractive to the non-headbangers (there must be some) ? And will that result in them simply not voting (no idea if the average American is as floozy with their votes as the UK floating voter) ?

It's hard not to see Trump as the US version of the UKs own ERG/Brexit faction. Cowering under the cover of a "respectable" party because they damn well know they'd never get more than a handful of votes as a standalone party. Hopefully both parties will get the schism they so richly deserve, and spend the next 20 years splitting the arsehole vote into silence.
Surely shoes change feet at some point ?

maggiethecat · 01/12/2020 13:24

or perhaps republican voters will believe the fraud so much that they'll be disinclined to vote in the run offs?

DGRossetti · 01/12/2020 13:29

@maggiethecat

or perhaps republican voters will believe the fraud so much that they'll be disinclined to vote in the run offs?
Possibly unintended side effect of Trumps whinging ?

It's all rigged (so why bother voting ?).

If we take that not all the people that voted for Trump are drooling idiots, then there must be some attrition of more moderate Republicans with each rising note of paranoid hysteria ?

At least the US allows voters to separate party and POTUS. I wonder what such a system in the UK would return ? Boris and no Tories. Or Tories and no Boris.

More about Dr. Death. Glad he was focused, would have hated to see the results if he hadn't been paying attention.

In a resignation letter he published on Twitter on Monday, he writes that “perhaps more than anything, my advice was always focused on minimizing all the harms from both the pandemic and the structural policies themselves, especially to the working class and the poor.”

Graham: Trump should attend Biden inauguration 'if' Biden wins.
thehill.com/homenews/senate/528050-graham-trump-should-attend-biden-inauguration-if-biden-wins

"If Biden winds up winning, yeah, I think so," Graham said when asked about whether Trump should attend Biden's swearing-in ceremony. "I just think it's good for the country. It'd be good for him."

"I hope that Biden will come to his," he added with a small chuckle.

The whole place will need fumigating before the Biden's move in. Covid central.

White House planning a packed season of holiday parties.
www.washingtonpost.com/politics/white-house-planning-a-packed-season-of-holiday-parties/2020/11/30/9ae209f2-3389-11eb-a997-1f4c53d2a747_story.html

While many public health professionals have asked Americans not to congregate in large group settings and avoid travel over the holidays because of the coronavirus pandemic that has killed more than 266,000 Americans and infected 13 million more, the White House is expected to throw more than a dozen indoor parties, including a large congressional ball on Dec. 10, officials say.

The parties will be paid for by the Republican Party, a person with knowledge of the planning said, and will cost millions of dollars.

The president and the first lady are determined to have a final holiday season in the White House, officials said, and concerns about spiking cases and deaths across the country have not stopped the events. Many of the administration’s supporters have taken a skeptical view of the restrictions over the virus and are choosing to attend, officials said.

Can you imagine Trump at Biden's inauguration?

At the very BEST, he'll have a face on him that would make Melania look like Doris Day.

or.....

This is LITERALLY the plot of The Masque of the Red Death.

May it end the same.

Definitely in-depth cleansing and fumigation.
And an exorcism and/or blessing to remove the bad, bad mojo left behind. Evil leaves its own trace.

Ok, that last sentence may have been a bit much.
