To love crap food?

Ok, not often, granted but I could happily chow my way through any of the big bags of Happy Shopper brand crisps eg. onion rings or prawn cocktail twirls. You can keep your Kettle Chips.

I also love Frankfurter sausages and Cheesestrings.

What 'crap' foods do you love?

Never mind, I see I was late to the party

Oooohbehave · 14/11/2020 12:38

I love a Greggs sausage roll and cheap packet noodles with hot chilli sauce added.

CatalinaWineMixer · 14/11/2020 12:39

Might I add any own brand tortilla chips topped with tinned chilli con carne and handfuls of grated cheese, served with any salsa and sour cream/cream cheese. Jalapeños optional.

Iamnotminterested · 14/11/2020 12:42

So many great ie shite foods being mentioned here.

My favourite dish to 'cook' as a student was boiled potatoes, fried onions, hard-boiled egg and tinned sweetcorn mixed with a tin of Heinz Macaroni cheese, cover with a layer of grated cheese and grill Smile

Brannigans roast beef and mustard crisps ,I have to limit myself though as I would happily eat the entire multi pack
My local shop have polish ( I think ) owners so they sell some polish brands ,there was a particularly nice ketchup from there once that was peppery I have never seen it since unfortunately .

@WankPuffins

I love hospital food and airplane food.

I had Dd in august. I had a section and I had the best lunch - pie and mash followed by spotted dick. I sent Dh a photo and he said it looked awful but I loved it.

At 2pm they said I could go home (14 hours after a section but that’s another story!) and my first thought was “but I want a hospital dinner”. I was gutted.

Me too! Aeroplane risotto is amaaazing
LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 14/11/2020 13:01

Peter's Corned Beef Pasties, with all the crusts cut off, cut into three 'strips' and a big splodge of ketchup to dip them in.

zombielady · 14/11/2020 13:03

Give me a cheap sausage over the posh 80% pork ones any day!

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 14/11/2020 13:07

zombielady Hell yes... I really miss Denny sausages, only available in NI... there are none better.

tillytown · 14/11/2020 13:23

CressidaTheHeathen Mars bar toastie? Like a cheese toastie? Doesn't it go chewy and weird, or does it melt?

ginislife · 14/11/2020 13:23

I'm off to Tesco to buy chocolate Philadelphia and digestive biscuits,

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 14/11/2020 13:24

Just had a crisp sandwich, Sainsbury’s own cheese and onion the are very flavoursome (so are Ald’s better than Walkers) on giraffe bread

Love marshmallow tea cakes. Happyshopper did the best ones haven’t seen them for years

And Jam Mallows the biscuit is soft (like a stale biscuit) pink very gooey marshmallow, strawberry jam sort of stuff and coconut - Very 70’s

I love fig rolls. It’s the only dried fruit I like

Homemade chips with egg - a sublime meal of course served with tea and white bread

DwangelaForever · 14/11/2020 13:27

Bacon flavour supernoodles, with red sauce added during cooking with a chopped up peperami mixed through. Grin

Also I'm quite partial to a bag of tescos own bacon rashers, prawn cocktail shells, cheesy puffs and onion rings lol

DwangelaForever · 14/11/2020 13:28

I forgot about chicken and mushroom pasta n sauce yummm

Sniv · 14/11/2020 13:42

I like jelly. I make it with less water so it's really firm and makes loud squeaky noises as you force a spoon through it. I eat it by itself.

CMOTDibbler · 14/11/2020 15:23

Jelly is fab. I set a tin of fruit cocktail into it and scarf with squirty cream

Didyousaynutella · 14/11/2020 15:54

Illuminous yellow Kraft macaroni cheese

lifeinlimbo2020 · 14/11/2020 15:55

Stuff the fancy restaurants, I love a McDonald's.

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 14/11/2020 17:19

I love McDonald’s, Wimpey, Star Burger type places with an endless menu and KFC

I like cheap food as much as better for you good quality food. When you are needing salt sugar and calories a healthy organic locally sourced meal is inadequate

Toffiffeee89 · 14/11/2020 17:35

Onion ring crisps ! I eat the large bag in one sitting so now when I shop I find myself staring at them . Have even put them in my trolley then took them out again !

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 14/11/2020 20:28

White sliced toast left to go rubbery with Robertson’s Golden Shred marmalade. Has to be excellent butter, though.

Jamhandprints · 14/11/2020 20:40

McDonalds breakfast, Heinz tomato soup, all the crisps, ketchup on macaroni cheese, sugary cereal for dinner. :-)

Imapotato · 14/11/2020 20:43

Sausages and baked beans in a tin. Nom nom.

A subway breakfast sub is another guilty pleasure. So disgusting it actually delicious!
