To love crap food?

Ok, not often, granted but I could happily chow my way through any of the big bags of Happy Shopper brand crisps eg. onion rings or prawn cocktail twirls. You can keep your Kettle Chips.

I also love Frankfurter sausages and Cheesestrings.

What 'crap' foods do you love?

OP posts:

Tinned hotdogs.
Cheese n broccoli pasta n sauce.
Fishfingers and birds eye waffles

I love stale pickled onion space raiders. I'll eat them fresh but much prefer them stale. I also like onion ring crisps stale too.

TheDowagerDuchess · 13/11/2020 22:55

Chicken nuggets and the like.

Camomila · 13/11/2020 23:00

Sort of the opposite but I really like carrrot sticks/cucumber sticks/celery...people always think I'm depriving myself but I just love the crunchy coolness.

Actual favourite crap food, McChicken Sandwich meal with a hot chocolate as the drink.

wirldsgonemad · 13/11/2020 23:01

Pasta with a tin of Campbells Condensed Mushroom Soup mixed into it with 2 Findus Chicken and Bacon Crispy Pancakes used to be my go-to hangover cure in my early twenties!

I love those chewy, yellow lemon flavoured Refresher bars, with sherbert in the middle - but my teeth flich at the thought of them these days!

Ibizafun · 13/11/2020 23:10

grassisjeweled · 13/11/2020 23:11

Imissmoominmama · 13/11/2020 23:11

Crisp butties.
Fried egg butties.
Cheese, quorn smoky ham and cheesy coleslaw butties.
Tinned sweetcorn straight from the tin, on a spoon.
Boiled eggs dipped in mayo mixed with Coleman’s mustard.

DahliaMacNamara · 13/11/2020 23:24

Spicy Indomie noodles, followed by a bag of cheese & onion own brand crisps for vitamins, heath food freak that I am. Oh, and a bag of Aldi gummy mix. They're vegetarian these days, so that's got to be good, right?

Megan2018 · 13/11/2020 23:35

I also eat entire packets of fig rolls. Love them! I only buy 1 packet a week though as otherwise I could develop a problem.

I eat whole balls of cheap mozzarella too on their own and I eat fast quantities of chicken nuggets far too often.

Chips and cheese, plain pasta and cheese. Basically anything with cheap cheddar on.

Oh and there’s an M&S ready meal that I binge in secret too sometimes-mushroom pappardelle. But one pack isn’t enough so I buy two. I could live on it.

I do also like real food too. I do actually cook, honest!

Christmaspud20 · 13/11/2020 23:39

Well I have a few.

Cheap salt and vinegar sticks.. Childhood memories.

Pot noodles.
Rustler burger
Frozen crinkle chips thrown in the fryer

ALL fast food. Mac d. Burger King. Kfc. Pizza hut. Dominoes. Kebab Chinese the lot.

I'm now thinking what to have tomorrow night. ( Saturday is no cook day)

Babyroobs · 13/11/2020 23:57

Ham and cheese lunchables.

QueenOfLabradors · 14/11/2020 00:15

MacDonald's sausage and egg McMuffin meal deal with a hash brown. I do tend to make a slight effort at virtue by having orange juice as the drink though. Although that's only because I nearly always have a thermos of my favourite tea with me. I do wish my regular White Van Woman routes went past MacDonald's before eleven in the morning more than about once a month!

I've just discovered what might be my ultimate crap food. A Canadian dish called Poutine which is basically chips and cheese - and gravy!

Mr Brains faggots. Especially with cheesy mash and peas.

Titsywoo · 14/11/2020 00:23

I love supernoodles. They are amazing.

Titsywoo · 14/11/2020 00:27

@TheSandman there is a market stall in London that does great Poutine. You can buy their at home version online since the first lockdown. Delicious!

CosyQueen · 14/11/2020 00:40

Rustlers microwave burgers,
McDonald’s chicken nuggets,
Chicken super noodles,
Box macaroni and cheese (with the neon orange powdered cheese sauce)
Greggs sausage rolls,
Bernard matthews mini kievs- let them cool down to room temperature!
Chicago town individual pizzas,
Pasta mixed with butter, a squirt of tomato ketchup and topped with grated cheese.
Richmond sausages with smash, tinned green beans and bistro gravy.

Thanks for that but I think I'll try making my own. £15 before postage! That would take a goodly chunk out of my food budget for the week.
