To love crap food?

Ok, not often, granted but I could happily chow my way through any of the big bags of Happy Shopper brand crisps eg. onion rings or prawn cocktail twirls. You can keep your Kettle Chips.

I also love Frankfurter sausages and Cheesestrings.

What 'crap' foods do you love?

£5 postage

Twofurrycatsagain · 14/11/2020 01:10

The cheap onion ring crisp things the corner shop sell and/or space raiders
Beef and tomato or chicken and mushrooms pot noodle before they altered them
Hot dog sausages in a jar from lidl.

Pop Tarts! Once you pop you definitely can’t stop (yes, I know I’ve appropriated the pringles motto!).

LordLancington · 14/11/2020 01:13

And curry or mixed kebab and sauce served in a naan.

Mrmojorising71 · 14/11/2020 01:38

Tayto plastic cheese bread and butter, if everythings really fresh it's heavenly.

Rubybluesy · 14/11/2020 01:42

Can you still get crispy pancakes

seayork2020 · 14/11/2020 01:50

I once had a bag of sainsburys cheese balls crisps type thing the machine must have had a fault as I got half a bag of cheese powder, that was a very very good day

throughawindowdarkly · 14/11/2020 01:57

I don't really like cheap crap food so I voted yabu but instant noodles with bread and butter? Yes please!

FastWindow · 14/11/2020 02:10

I bought some reduced soba noodles off of tescos. They turned out to be unbelievable.

But true crap that is to be loved? You cannot beat the McGeneric sausage and egg breakfast bap. Cheese optional, I guess? I don't do it. But I do go for the hash brown. Because, at that point, why not.

I love the orange plastic cheese slices. Not as real cheese of course, but as something adjacent to cheese. I like real cheese too. I have the slices melted in a crusty bread roll. Sometimes I eat a cheese slice on its own, standing in front of the fridge.

longwayoff · 14/11/2020 07:12

Fish fingers in a white bread sandwich. Did you see what Nigeria did to those poor fish fingers this week? Absolute outrage. Fish fingers are not ingredients, they are a perfect thing of their own.

longwayoff · 14/11/2020 07:13

Bloody hell. Nigella. Not Nigeria.

JorisBonson · 14/11/2020 07:16

The 15p noodles from Lidl

Cheap white bread and loads of butter

Anything that tastes slightly like plastic - cheese strings, lunchables etc

Bidenfairy · 14/11/2020 07:38

Profiteroles and pastries.

Gingerkittykat · 14/11/2020 08:24

Heinz beans and sausages with loads of cheese melted through it served on a baked potato.
Cheesy pasta.
Wee willie winkie sausages.
Fun sized sausage rolls like you get at kids parties.

PaxMalmKallax · 14/11/2020 08:25

Microwave golden vegetable rice with egg stirred through and if I’m feeling fancy a dash of soy sauce.

A jar of ragu poured on pasta with lots and lots of cheese

And another big fan of cheap crisps in cheap white bread! Same re cheap noodles in cheap bread!

PoloNeckKnickers · 14/11/2020 08:29

My DH discovered a chip & curry sauce frozen ready meal from the pound shop and we now have a stack in the freezer. We serve with thickly buttered white rolls.

caringcarer · 14/11/2020 10:25

Maltesers
Kettle crisps
Bacon frazzled (large bags)
Sausages, bacon and a runny egg or 2.
I am on a diet so craving it more than usual atm

ApolloandDaphne · 14/11/2020 10:26

Spar salt and vinegar twirls. Extra salty and vinegary. The M&S ones are awful in comparison.

BritWifeinUSA · 14/11/2020 10:44

Cheap fizzy sweets.

GerundTheBehemoth · 14/11/2020 10:46

Good to see all the love for various maize snacks on here :)

TellingBone · 14/11/2020 10:48

Butterscotch Angel Delight
Pek
Fray Bentos steak and ale pie
Pork pie and mushy peas
Full English
Greggs sausage rolls
Fried bacon sandwich in buttered white roll

And Iceland have started selling...spam fritters. Deep joy.

CounsellorTroi · 14/11/2020 10:51

Heinz tinned spag bol.

M&S cheesy puffs.

Cornish wafers
Bombay mix

BillyGoatsChuff · 14/11/2020 10:54

There is nothing finer than chips, egg and beans for tea

BillyGoatsChuff · 14/11/2020 10:54

I also love Angel Delight
