I can watch those Priests trapped in a lingerie department a thousand times and not be bored.

Father Ted was pure genius. The IT crowd is mildly amusing but it’s basically one joke.

IT Crowd every time. Father Ted is watchable when you have to watch something with older relatives but I wouldn’t choose to watch it by myself.

I didn't recognise the sound my mouth made when the bra went up in flames during the dragons den presentation on I T crowd, I honestly laughed like I hadn't before omg.

Is Father Ted better than IT Crowd? Well that would be an ecumenical matter....

I'm Irish and don't know a single person back home who doesn't love it. My English husband always loved it but says he didn't realise how genius it is till he met me, started visiting Ireland regularly and got to know the culture, especially around the Catholic church. Now he understands its true genius. We quote it at each other constantly.

IT crowd was good but father ted is incomparable.

They both have me in utter stitches all the time..
Favourite Father Ted has got to be kicking bishop brennan and favourite IT crowd that has me utterly crying is the work outing episode.. Its the moment Jen goes to the bar and sees Moss and he goes "yes miss" I was dead.

We live where FT was filmed for all the outside scenes. We have a Tedfest every year where people dress as priests and nuns and Mrs Doyle. We recreate scenes like driving through the cardboard boxes. It's a mad weekend. Everyone loves FT here. My Doc was an Extra in the Sheep competition judging scene and loads of locals were extras and we look out for them and see how well they have aged.

That was a local farmer. I kid you not, our Bishop is Bishop Drennan Galway) and when he was at my eldest daughter confirmation I nearly, nearly did it....but just stopped myself in time when meeting him.

So over all Father Ted funnier but the funniest episode of all goes to IT crowd.

They're both excellent, although if I'm judging on a single episode I'd say the IT crowd one where they go to the theatre to see a gay musical called Gay! is absolutely superb, it's my go to "I can't be arsed watching something new but I want to be in hysterics" show
