Has anyone had what they thought was periods during pregnancy ????
I haven’t been well recently, suppose you could say pregnancy symptoms. My issue is we haven’t actually done the deed in months and I have had what I thought was periods. I have been vomiting a lot/ been bloating and sorry for the tmi but piles came back ( haven’t had them since second pregnancy 7 years ago )
I just took a test this afternoon which has come up as a very clear positive, took another and the same result.
I am so confused right now. I will book an appointment with doctor of course but I’m in completely freak out mode.
It defo wouldn’t be planned I have 2 DC 13 and nearly 7.
Partner and I have been friends for a very very very long time but only started dating 11 months ago.
I don’t know what I am actually asking 🤣

OP of course you’re pregnant!! Potentially quite far along. Is congratulations the right word? Flowers

CoRhona · 11/11/2020 18:11

Sounds like it could be but definitely go and see the Dr to confirm.

And congratulations...? Commiserations? Not quite sure which is appropriate from your post Confused

ForthPlace · 11/11/2020 18:13

A bit of a shock, but maybe a good one once you get your head around it. Take time to look after you and think about what you want.

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:14

I mean it wouldn’t be a absolutely disaster but I had a very traumatic experience with DC2. So was out of life. I just think I’m in shock and I don’t understand I had “ periods “

What happened to the other lady recently (this year) who found out late on? Anyone remember. I’m sure it was a ONS or FWB situation if that rings a bell?

pinkpetal2 · 11/11/2020 18:17

@Sickofmysalary I remember that post!
OP Same thing happened to my mum she had her last baby 6 weeks before mine was due 😳. She didn't know until she had a blood test for something to do with her ovaries.

Sickofmysalary · 11/11/2020 18:18

Omg @pinkpetal2! That’s mad!! Her child and grandchild 6 weeks apart. Amazing!

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:20

@pinkpetal2 oh gosh !!! Haha
Luckily neither of mine are older enough to be pregnant !
I think I’m just in shock I have ordered a Big Mac - not sure how that will help 🤣

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:21

What’s ONS and FWB mean ?

OP posts:
DrizzleandDamp · 11/11/2020 18:21

Oh I’m friends with a lady who was 45, her and partner child free, wasn’t until she had a scan for something else that she found she was 6months. They are very happy but was shocking!

When did you last DTD, I’m not sure you have much choice if it’s months ago...

DrizzleandDamp · 11/11/2020 18:22

One night stand
Friends with benefits

MoonJelly · 11/11/2020 18:22

How long ago was it that you dtd?

Aquamarine1029 · 11/11/2020 18:23

How far along do you think you are?

captainprincess · 11/11/2020 18:23

Congratulations if this is what you want. Seems a bit odd that you have only been with your partner 11 months but haven't had sex in months?!

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:25

@captainprincess we don’t live with live wirh each other and between him working away and A pandemic it’s been a bit difficult
I have just looked back and the last time was when we went away for a few days after first lockdown August 7th

OP posts:
Sickofmysalary · 11/11/2020 18:29

So does that mean you’d be about three months?

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:29

Ahh yet it’s not friends with benefits or a one night stand. I have loved him a very long time just took us a long time to work it out

OP posts:
Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:29

@Sickofmysalary well that was the last time but I can’t say it was that particular time but that would be minimum.

OP posts:
captainprincess · 11/11/2020 18:32

Ah ok, fair enough Smile

Sickofmysalary · 11/11/2020 18:32

@Whattheactual20201 I was referring to the other poster who went through this recently having a ONS or FWB not you :)

DrizzleandDamp · 11/11/2020 18:33

You still have options then. But to be honest from your attitude towards this you are either amazingly balanced and funny OR it’s not the end of the world and congratulations on your baby with your long term love!

lollylimejuice · 11/11/2020 18:34

Congratulations you're going to have a lovely baby. It's just shock you're feeling and a big mac will surely help and fries of course, maybe a milkshake. Milk is good for expectant mums. My daughter in law is in the same boat and after the initial shock everybody is on board especially our two granddaughters.

MoneyWhatMoney · 11/11/2020 18:35

Dsis was 6 months pregnant before she found out. Her weight didn't change and she had periods (irregular but that's normal for her). No symptoms at all - she only found out because she felt movements so it can happen!

Tentative congratulations OP

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 18:38

@DrizzleandDamp I’m one of these people who I just like I don’t know if I don’t laugh I will cry so I laugh ! Thinking logically it’s not the end of the world and I am still at a age where children would have probably come up at some point ( he doesn’t have any ) I think I just don’t know was semi relived that I’m not I’ll and a feel a little bad about my recent wine consumption.
My main concern so the way 2020 has gone for me it will end up being triplets !
By the way I’m not new one here I named changed not to out myself 🤣

I think sometimes they are just meant to be. Our DS was a surprise. Best surprise ever as it turned out but at the time it was quite scary. A big Mac and a little time will help you get your head round this.
