Has anyone had what they thought was periods during pregnancy ????
I haven’t been well recently, suppose you could say pregnancy symptoms. My issue is we haven’t actually done the deed in months and I have had what I thought was periods. I have been vomiting a lot/ been bloating and sorry for the tmi but piles came back ( haven’t had them since second pregnancy 7 years ago )
I just took a test this afternoon which has come up as a very clear positive, took another and the same result.
I am so confused right now. I will book an appointment with doctor of course but I’m in completely freak out mode.
It defo wouldn’t be planned I have 2 DC 13 and nearly 7.
Partner and I have been friends for a very very very long time but only started dating 11 months ago.
I don’t know what I am actually asking 🤣

I hope it goes well when you tell your partner.

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 19:33

@Thisisnotnormal69 erm I mean we haven’t had a sit down conversation ( we have known each other since I was young ( he is a family friends son and brothers best friend ) you know those families friends who basically just share houses back in the 90s 🤣 so I know he does want kids, it was me that didn’t have any urge to have anymore.

What a shock. Congratulations

HugeBowlofChips · 11/11/2020 19:42

This was my Mum in the 70s. GP told her not to be so stupid because pregnant women don't have periods.

Ok so I have been going through my dates and photos.

So it would have to beginning of August or the end of April ???? So no way could it be April BUT I just looked at when I first rang the GP which was June 🤣 doesn’t make any sense.

Omg OP this is a lovely thread! Congrats! When and how are you planning on telling DP?

cardswapping · 11/11/2020 19:46

I read it happens quite often. This is how women sometimes don't realise that they are pregnant as their body continued having regular periods. As a result these women are completely unaware (esp when there is an issue of maternal obesity/overweight) and surprised when they suddenly go into labour.

cardswapping · 11/11/2020 19:47

oops, catching up. Congrats!

ChanklyBore · 11/11/2020 19:48

Congratulations OP

I had regular bleeds when pregnant with my oldest child.

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 19:48

I am a size 12 but have been extremely bloated and gone up to size 14 jeans in the last 6 weeks.

CovidStoleTheRainbow · 11/11/2020 19:49

So you could be 7 months pregnant?

Do you have a bump?

Nottherealslimshady · 11/11/2020 19:50

Ooh you'll be about as far along as me then! 😁
Yeah you can definitely have periods during pregnancy and everything be fine. You need to ring your doctor asap and you'll need a scan and any tests if you want them.
I understand it's a shock but I'm just excited for you tbh!

Dinosaur19 · 11/11/2020 19:50

Any other symptoms at all now you think back OP? More discharge? Horrid metallic taste in your mouth? Increased appetite? You might only realise now that you’re looking back!

CovidStoleTheRainbow · 11/11/2020 19:50

Erm could you take a pic of this 'bloated ness'?

Sounds like you might pop this baby out verrrry soon...

rosegoldivy · 11/11/2020 19:52

Shamelessly following this 😂😂

BillysMyBunny · 11/11/2020 19:53

Awww congratulations!

WorksTheDinerAllDay · 11/11/2020 19:54

Gosh, it's a good job you took a test, you could be in labour in a few weeks Shock

Blueuggboots · 11/11/2020 19:54

We need a photo!!!

Whattheactual20201 · 11/11/2020 19:54

@CovidStoleTheRainbow that doesn’t seem possible.

So he was here from March 25th - April 30th he was on leave from work and he stayed the first month of lockdown, during him being away from work My youngest was put on the shielding list so then we decided together, that he wouldn’t return to the home.
Mid July we formed a bubble, but he was away at work until August and we went away at the end of the August for a weekend.
So April 29th we had a you know goodbye night 🤣 and end weekend of August we had a missed you night haha !
