Will Donald pardon the turkeys or will the turkeys pardon Donald?

Again, or still, or something. Smile

@Jaichangecentfoisdenom

Scott Dworkin on Twitter just now: "BREAKING: Trump campaign drops their frivolous lawsuit in Arizona. They are no longer seeking legal action there." Might he concede at his 4.00pm briefing?
Hope springs eternal, Jai. But I wouldn't hold your breath. I know I'm not.

I think it more likely that he going to bray about 'his success in getting a vaccine' and how he is personally responsible for 'curing' Covid. Then it will (as usual) turn into a diatribe against whatever is stuck in his craw at the moment. In this case it'll be the media, 'AnTEEfah', the Left, and Biden 'stealing' the election.

One thing I'll guarantee you, he's NOT going to be taking any questions.

@giletrouge

Plonker who supports him on C4 News says he's likely to concede after the result is certified - that's the 14th Dec, right? Which is earlier than it seemed it was going yesterday. I think he's crumbling...
14 Dec is when the Electoral Colleges votes. Certifying is done state by state with deadlines determined by each state.

This is a pretty good article about certification dates in the states in question and the actions following;

Thanks Across
Yes I meant when the EC votes - I wonder if he will concede then? Seemed a 'strong rumour'. It was one of his great cronies being interviewed, not a politician, more of a media person. Didn't catch his name. Seemed a slimy sort, but nevertheless might know what he's talking about. Actually I think it was Sky not C4 - all blurring into one.

BruceAndNosh · 13/11/2020 19:54

As predicted, CIA director is being frozen out

keeprocking · 13/11/2020 19:54

@giletrouge

His disappearance will be welcomed, but beware his sons and his fanatical followers. They won't all go away at once; there's a long haul ahead.
The daughter is the more dangerous one, she has her eye on the Oval Office. 2024, Ivanka Trump v Chelsea Clinton, Daddies holding their coats.
AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 13/11/2020 19:57

Republicans + a woman seems a less likely ticket.

Got it!

Possibly after the EC votes, but I think if he's going to concede at all it won't be until the joint session of Congress certifies the results on 6 January. Personally I don't think he'll ever utter the words "I concede". I think it more likely that he'll give some speech about being pushed out of office 'illegally' or whatever words he chooses to soothe his baby ego.

The date I think is going to be interesting is 23 Dec. That's the (final) day for the EC to formally deliver the results of the vote to the President of the Senate, and that's Pence. Will he refuse to accept the results? Will he accept but refuse to call the joint session? What's going to happen between 23 Dec and 6 Jan?

We're certainly in uncharted territory. But I know one thing for sure. Scrotus term WILL end on 20 Jan. That's a Constitutional given. And that Biden WILL be sworn in on 20 Jan. That's a Constitutional given. too. What happens in between is all folderol and shenanigans.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 13/11/2020 20:35

A quick question: doesn't Cohen's sworn evidence drop Trump deep in the doggy-do-do? Trump did nothing to support Cohen, so I can't see that Cohen owes him any loyalty.

I'm not so sure - although our politics are generally a step to the left compared to the US equivalents so far the "right" in the UK has done much better in terms of electing women to lead them. They also put Palin on...
AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 13/11/2020 20:40

And the women have lost, which might well make them a bit chary of doing it again.

Also, Ivanka's only real asset is sex-appeal, as opposed to having a brain.

Cheguevarahamster · 13/11/2020 21:22

Anybody else waiting for the trump speech?. He's taking ages. I think he may have gone to a car park at Whytehouse dentist by mistake.

AcrossthePond55 · 13/11/2020 21:33

It's all bullshit. I lasted about 2 minutes and we've now got it on mute. He's taking credit for shit that never happened and shit he had nothing to do with.

To my knowledge Pfizer said that the programme that developed the vaccine had no funding and no connection with the so-called 'Operation Warp Speed'.

AcrossthePond55 · 13/11/2020 21:33

Mute with CC.

nauticant · 13/11/2020 21:35

Trump's hair now looks to be a "normal" colour. What's that about?

AcrossthePond55 · 13/11/2020 21:35

Does his hair actually look silver/grey instead of the piss-yellow it usually is?

AcrossthePond55 · 13/11/2020 21:36

Xpost Nauticant!

But his ears are still a different colour than his face.

Residentdove2020 · 13/11/2020 21:36

I am! Finally, he's wandered out. Sounds very flat Grin. He's so busy praising himself for his Covid efforts ( & mud-slinging towards the New York Mayor Shock) I don't think he'll mention it at all.

Frankly, who needs a sleep story while he's on

BruceAndNosh · 13/11/2020 21:37

Don't know why but his hair often seems grey but only when he does outdoor pressers at the WH. Maybe it's the light reflecting off the stucco?

Cheguevarahamster · 13/11/2020 21:37

Sings "I beg your pardon, I'm chatting shit in the Rose Garden"

BruceAndNosh · 13/11/2020 21:39

God he's really rambling on about Cuomo isn't he?
