Mine was house plant potting mix, long lighters, and little packets of yeast to make bread. Couldn’t get hold of any of them and thy all would have made such a difference to my life.

That's a toss up between the gym and restaurants.

SiliconHeaven · 02/11/2020 18:08

Sound mental health and possibly my mum

dontgobaconmyheart · 02/11/2020 18:29

Honestly not a great deal. The lack of food variety was boring but I think it would fall into entitlement to complain about that when others lost jobs and can6afgord basic foods. I'm coeliac and can't eat gluten so there were long absences of gluten free foods I would normally eat but it was ultimately fine and I was not starving.

The PO was open last time as well and online shops were still delivering so it isn't as though we couldn't obtain things full stop or they can't be ordered during lockdown.

BlossomCat · 02/11/2020 18:44

Space for my sewing machine.
We had DS doing his dissertation, and Dd doing a final art project, so all desk and work spaces were taken up.
Dd has gone off to university now, so I have moved all my craft stuff into her bedroom, so can sew what I want, when I want, which really helps me relax.

GingerBrummie · 02/11/2020 18:48

Pregnancy!
Apparently with all that free time & being super chilled as working from home, no stress.... i still cant get up the duff!

VerbenaGirl · 02/11/2020 18:50

Compost. But that’s a lot less relevant in November!

jelly79 · 02/11/2020 18:53

Oh yes... Compost and bedding plants. When the garden centres opened the first thing to sell out was bedding plants. Couldn't find any at all.

Tootsey11 · 02/11/2020 19:03

I wish I hadn't contracted CV.

Spent nearly 3 months in bed, such a waste when lots of other people were doing DIY.

FelicisNox · 02/11/2020 19:15

Exercise/willpower.

I'm not piling the weight on again, it's so hard to get it off again.

caringcarer · 02/11/2020 19:15

I wanted yeast. I had strong flour and a raging desire to make pizza. In May my sister found some and sent me a sachet in the post. She didn't tell me she had any and so was so excited when it arrives I danced all around the kitchen waving it.

Goldenphoenix · 02/11/2020 19:19

A desk!

anothergloriousmorning · 02/11/2020 19:30

Willpower. It was the perfect opportunity to eat at regular times as a family, cook decent meals from scratch, and most importantly exercise. Totally didn't make the most of it!

Brainfogmcfogface · 02/11/2020 19:31

A garden, 2 young children in a tiny flat 24/7 is not fun, hated seeing friends doing things in theirs, made me feel poor and shit because I can’t afford anything better.. still in tiny flat so same again for us, but at least my eldest goes to school, my poor toddler is going to be climbing the walls!

Uptheshard · 02/11/2020 19:32

A clitoral vibrator. A dog. A few tins of paint. Haha or maybe not in that order!!??

Yorkshiretolondon · 02/11/2020 19:33

@CressidaTheHeathen

A gym
Ahhh yes we had our studio gym completed just a month before lockdown no.1...... best thing ever!
MrsPear · 02/11/2020 19:33

Oh thank you shameless - I’ll pass it to hubby. I know he is still bloody angry. We were luck to supplement from meagre savings. But we Were living by the basics.
