Mine was house plant potting mix, long lighters, and little packets of yeast to make bread. Couldn’t get hold of any of them and thy all would have made such a difference to my life.

A swimming pool and a freezer, mine died earlier in the year.
I haven't yet replaced the freezer as it is part of a fridge/freezer unit and built into a cupboard, so I need to replace the whole thing.

OhTheRoses · 01/11/2020 20:42

Flour, and eggs could be challenging.
My liberty.

Pixiedust49 · 01/11/2020 20:42

Being able to see a dentist. Worst toothache ever!

Oopsiedaisyy · 01/11/2020 20:42

My own house, I was renting. Luckily I've bought so it's DIY time

DipSwimSwoosh · 01/11/2020 20:44

Not seeing my brother in Italy and a change of scene, missed sept too ,normally have a few days in Spain., wit younger brother.
Missing lovely weather this time

cheesecake864 · 01/11/2020 20:45

Time !

Full time working from home busier than ever plus 3 children at home. Unable to home school as not enough hours in the day. I was absolutely exhausted as was my husband last time.

SATSmadness · 01/11/2020 20:45

Furlough !

The weather was mostly great but I was stuck indoors working harder than ever keeping up with my workload and ensuring one of the dc kept up with school work plus delivering shopping for aged relatives.

I'd happily have dropped to lower pay for 6 months, for zero work so that I could have concentrated on other stuff which would have been a lot less stressful.

Furlough
Chiropodist
Ears syringing
the discipline to not have had a brief, sweet and then ultimately painful, affair
The money to leave abusive DP, as here I am about to have to go through another lockdown with him...

alltoomuchrightnow · 01/11/2020 20:47

however, I did lose half a stone, and kept it off

CoffeeDay · 01/11/2020 20:49

Paracetamol, yeast, haircut, decent cooking pans, daily contact lenses, disinfectant wipes, face masks, spare laptop charger, car MOT.

We heard a strong rumour about the lockdown two weeks in advance from a reliable source so we had a bit of time to prepare. Frantically scheduled all appointments, bought all the things needed and tied up loose ends that required errands out of the house.

So now it feels a bit like the calm before the storm. Everything has been done, pantry is stocked, plenty of toys and a puddle suit for DD so just prepared to hunker down and get through it.

MadameTuffington · 01/11/2020 20:50

A pet! We now have an AMAZING house rabbit called Frank - he is beautiful and will hopefully keep us all sane 🙌

Last time? Gym

This time? A rope like another poster said

Inthemuckheap · 01/11/2020 20:51

A job that can be done from home. Still same job this lockdown. Sick of seeing people on SM doing loads of things during the working day as they can 'catch up' during the evenings and having TEAMs meetings with others who are WFH.

frumpety · 01/11/2020 20:51

There wasn't anything I couldn't get hold of or needed that I didn't have. But the jobs I should have done ! , the garden, the loft , decorating or even just simple tidying and cleaning, currently writing a long list of 'jobs' Smile

To be fair I was working and also dealing with a critcally injured child for some of lockdown, so you know, trying not to be too hard on myself and my lack lustre ways.

ILovemyCatsSoSoMuch · 01/11/2020 20:52

I missed the sea.

Sorted now as we’ve moved within walking distance.

I could have really done with a live-in-tutor last time! Or governess type person,

Sometimesonly · 01/11/2020 20:53

Not being able to leave the flat. I am dreading this happens again. I don't care what else I have to give up, I need to be able to go out for a walk.

Bambooble · 01/11/2020 20:54

Coconut milk, it's been tricky to find any the last few months as well, thankfully it's not too important. Also garden toys were like hen's teeth!

TrainspottingWelsh · 01/11/2020 20:54

Enough alcohol. We always have loads of food because we don't have shops nearby, and lots comes from nearby farms. And generally enough alcohol for normal light use. But nowhere near enough when dsd came back from uni, dp working from home instead of away and I was briefly furloughed. I'm still not sure whether he's noticed the inroad, or rather back road, dsd and I made into his lifetime collection of stuff we wouldn't normally touch with a barge pole.

Tobebythesea · 01/11/2020 20:54

Icing sugar, vanilla essence, yeast and flour. I now have all of these in.

Blondiney · 01/11/2020 20:56

A desert island. Hell really is other people.

ittooshallpass · 01/11/2020 20:58
