To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

I think they're fun! I would wear some of them if I ever wore dresses. (Can't be bothered with tights.)

trunumber · 30/10/2020 23:46

Just bought one, 40% off today

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 30/10/2020 23:50

Perfect for a Mr Tumble theme party!

OnlyToWin · 30/10/2020 23:51

Miss Hooly from Ballamory would have had a scroll on this website for certain.

DiddlySquatty · 30/10/2020 23:52

They remind me of Kirsty Allsopp

DappledThings · 30/10/2020 23:53

@SchrodingersImmigrant

IT'S DRESSES WITH POCKETS! SOMEONE IS LISTENING TO WOMEN!😱😱😱
Even my 2 year old DD complained last week that she didn't have pockets in her dress. I tried to teach her the word patriarchy.
Whatsnewpussyhat · 31/10/2020 00:04

I love the parrot print one. Used to have something very similar 20 years ago.

My issue is they look so short waisted and poorly cut. Need another 2 inches on body length. The belts would sit under my tits rather than my actual waistline.

Joditaylorfan · 31/10/2020 00:04

Well I quite like them! Probably wouldn't wear many, but there were quite a few I did like. If ever I needed more clothes.

longtompot · 31/10/2020 00:07

POCKETSESS PRECIOUS!

I actually quite like them, but if I wore them, I'd look like Dawn French dressed up as a ballerina Grin

Pangur2 · 31/10/2020 00:08

@Colycola me too! One from Victory Parade and one from run & fly! You can never have too many dinosaur dresses.

jambeforeclottedcream · 31/10/2020 00:12

@TartanDMs

Haha! I have a couple of the so called monstrosities and have had nothing but compliments. I don't dress for others though, but for myself, and if I like it I wear it. I do have bright blue hair though.
What's the quality/ fit like?
BadlyDrawnSimpsonsCharacter · 31/10/2020 00:12

Being a cat owner, the "Meow or Never" dress is right up my street.
You could say it's...purrfect.
Grin

OrtamLeevz · 31/10/2020 00:14

@Oliversmumsarmy

I think they look like something Kirsty Allsop would wear
I'm thinking Grayson Perry.
ZoeTurtle · 31/10/2020 00:17

Some of them aren't hideous. The more I loaded, the more passable they got. I think a lot of the more... bold... ones would look better without the horrible coloured tights the models have on.

LucillevsLowkee · 31/10/2020 00:27

YABU

You don't like them, it doesn't make them "awful". Not exactly the style I tend to wear, but why should clothes be boring?

I would actually wear the "just write" dress at work, and it's a very corporate one Grin just not with these shoes or tights.

Pangur2 · 31/10/2020 00:28

@ZoeTurtle I agree about the tights. I don’t plan on wearing the colouring pencil dress with red tights and yellow shoes! I’m going to go more 50s with it.

user1481840227 · 31/10/2020 00:30

@SunshineOutdoors

Got to be aimed at primary school teachers to wear to work? No offence to primary school teachers intended!
Lol...my son has asked me a few times where teachers get their clothes because he said they are always so weird and no one else ever wears them!
Kote · 31/10/2020 00:32

I quite like them Blush

ViciousJackdaw · 31/10/2020 00:47

@Iamthewombat

Not all of us want to look like Dillard's and dress in insipid navy and black

What is a ‘Dillard’? I just googled and got a US department store named Dillard’s but I assume that was not what you meant.

Did you mean ‘dullards’? You do know that a dullard is someone dull witted and stupid? Do you mean ‘a person who dresses in dull colours’?

That's not the only meaning:

WhatWouldChristineCagneyDo · 31/10/2020 00:48

The probem is that they are too high waisted, the waistline is not hitting the model at her narrowest point. (It looks paticularly bad on the blonde model). Also, the skirts are all a couple of inches too short, so they look like they come from the 1950s section of a fancy dress shop. That style of shirtwaister really needs to hit an inch or so below the knee.

Could work well on a petite woman though.

CounsellorTroi · 31/10/2020 01:39

I like the melon dress! Not that I’d wear it though.

Oysterbabe · 31/10/2020 01:55

I have 2 pinafore dinosaur dresses from Run and Fly and I love them.

jennie0412 · 31/10/2020 01:57

They're sort of cute.. in a sad way

Marcipex · 31/10/2020 02:16

God, those are awful.

Inthetropics · 31/10/2020 02:25

Not my taste but they have pockets, which is rare and great! All my dresses have pockets.
