I think showering once a day is fine unless you've exercised or something but anything less than once a day is dirty IMHO

We always bathe/shower before bed and when we get up in the morning. Just love that fresh feeling!

Oh well, maybe this is going to be one of those competitive hun threads where everyone says the OP is gross for not washing three times a day.

I like to have a longer bath before bed and really quick shower in the morning. It doesn't always work out that way though. And I only wash my hair once a week so by mumsnet standards I am a slattern anyway. I always wear clean pyjamas and I change my bedding every weekend.

I never shower in the morning, hate it, always have! I shower every evening before bed or a bit earlier if I need to wash my hair.

I often do shower/bathe twice a day but I accept that I am unreasonable. I don’t always do it. But it unwinds me like nothing else, I guess in the way a glass of wine or whatever works for some people. And in the morning I still don’t feel properly presentable without a quick shower.

Many other aspects of my home life are below the MN line of acceptability though.

If it is hot and sweaty weather in the summer then I will have another shower just before bed.

Shower every other day or less. Every day would be murder for my skin, it's dry enough as it is. No, I don't smell. Yes, I feel clean.

I only shower in the mornings (unless I’ve worked out). Never occurred to me that it might be considered gross. Don’t really care if others think it is.

I don't even shower every day 😂 Sometimes only alternate days with a top n tail wash on the off day. But I expect by MN standards I'll be considered a real slattern 🙄

I don't shower in the morning as standard. I never had time for that before work. I only wash my hair once a week too.

I think it comes from not being allowed back out once we'd had a bath when little. Baths were part of the bedtime routine and I still like to have a bath before bed now.

I only shower beforehand in the day if I'm going somewhere like drs, an event etc.

Daytime baths are all kinds of wrong.

I shower once a year, whether I need it or not.

I like to go to bed clean, so 99% of the time I shower before bed.
Very occasionally I'll have a morning shower too, depending on how bad a night I've had.
I think as long as you wash/shower/bath once a day it's just personal preference as to when you do it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I shower at least once in every 24hrs. I work odd hours, so although it's usually first thing, it can be any time of day. DH showers before bed as he works too stupidly early to shower in the morning.

I have never got in the shower on a morning, always a bath or shower on a night.

I think you are being reasonable. I shower as soon as I get in from work then I get a wash in the morning. DH showers in the morning then has a bath most evenings. I secretly seethe that it is totally excessive and must be costing us a fortune in water and electricity.
