If not unusually sweaty? (And you’ve washed that day) like .. in winter.

We only shower at Christmas, or if it’s a birthday.

I have a colleague who showers twice a day and "couldn't bear" to not wash the work day away. It doesn't recommend itself to me, as her skin looks as dry as paper. But you can see how it becomes a psychological thing, almost. Because let's face it, in this climate and at this time of year, you're not dirty if you've had a shower less than 10 hours before.

@Onxob

I'm always amazed on mumsnet by how many adults have daily baths. Seems such a waste of time! All that hanging around for it to fill up too. I don't know anyone IRL who does this. Baths are something you save for a quiet Saturday night in when you have time to lounge about in it. Such a waste of water too. I don't get it?

I shower and wash my hair most days but I've often skipped a day if just lounging about at home or use dry shampoo. This is the standard for most people I know well, although most don't seem to wash their hair as much as I do. Mine is very fine and gets greasy if not washed daily. Everyones body is different. Some people sweat much, much more than others too. I like the fresh feeling of a daily shower but I honestly do not smell at all on the second day and could technically go without. The only time I've ever smelt BO from myself is when I was in hospital after serious emergency surgery and was lying in my own filth for days, having been sweating with fever etc. other than that time I've never smelt BO.

I get up early to bathe so I can read books and then skim through three newspapers before I go to work

YANBU, it's good to find time(s) that suit you.

I shower mainly in the afternoon - unless I have an appointment in the morning (which I would have a quick shower for), it's rare for me to go out much beyond my own street before then, but do a lot more in the evenings so like to be clean then for others. If I want to soak, that's at night.

My spouse works night shift so his 'morning' in mid-afternoon and we do that together. I'm not terrible stable in the shower so this helps me and I have 3 older children who shower or bathe most mornings starting from about 6:30 and I barely have enough time between them to pee & brush my teeth between them, let alone risk a shower.
