To ask which surname is more naice?

Dear vipers, I am going to ditch my husband's name and I have a claim to either Scott or Stone. I want to know which one of two sounds more glam, more posh.

Scott of course has a lot of associations, from Buccleuch down to Ronnie, Stone to me brings to mind Patsy, (not a bad thing).

Going through the separation roller coaster right now, and I desperately need cheering up. (NC for this, natch)
YABU - Wha hae!
YANBU - Rock and roll, baby!

@JacobReesMogadishu

Just give yourself a random surname. I’m going for “de la croix” if I ever change mine.
I've always fancied Devereaux but I'm not changing mine again...far too much of a ball ache!

Thank you everyone, even the people who are outraged by nice, I've been dipping in and out for a chuckle and some distraction when I can.

I'm strongly tempted now to go the make up something outrageous route, to reflect my new free-and-easy life and really get up -ahem- certain people's noses. Halloween Grin

I know we had Consuela Bananahammock, but have you considered Regina Phalange?

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2020 18:59

@notacooldad

The “naice” words refers to a mn thread a few years back about a shopping list with “naice ham” which was meant to equate to finest type ham It also got very tedious very quickly when it was constantly used. Very dated now.
I won a 'naice coffee' mug in an MN competition. It's part of our heritage.Grin

Kidney Stone.

Gall Stone

missmouse101 · 26/10/2020 19:45

I can't bear the stupid 'naice' either. Fgs OP, just ask which is nicer? Stone would be my choice.

Evidently the best way to get up people's noses would be to change your surname to "Naice" Grin

Lefdawanka- I love it!
This is going the same way as when I had to rename my house (no numbers here). Downhill fast and full of innuendo. Wink

BlackeyedSusan · 26/10/2020 22:11

I vote scottstone.

Not outraged, just a fuss and a eyeroll!🙄 🤣🤣

ViciousJackdaw · 26/10/2020 22:36

Go for something that'll confuse the hell out people. Try Urbanowski-Hernandez, Heppplethwaite-Ahmed or Cadwaladr-Sigtryggsdottir

Ibizafun · 26/10/2020 22:48

Scott all the way

burglarbettybaby · 26/10/2020 22:55

Lol at people not knowing what 'naice' is. I'm on here too long

I think both names are good! Hard to choose between. Flip a coin Grin

LolaSkoda · 26/10/2020 23:10

Stony McStoneface.

CathyTre · 26/10/2020 23:16

I once met a guy called Oliver Roxborough and I do not to this day think that any surname could be better. And I don’t care that you said “naice”. I think you should choose Roxborough, although it may have been spent Roxburgh.

MadisonAvenue · 26/10/2020 23:19

@Serin

Fr Ted names! I'd go Sensini Grin
I’d go for Hellzapoppin 😃

People on here do but it's one of those things that was funny at first, now it is hackneyed and irritating.
