Blanket freak

Is it weird to have a blanket/ throw folded on your sofa, so that you can snuggle up with it when on the sofa? My husband has just gone on about how he hates the blanket and nobody else has a blanket for this purpose. It's nice, matches the room etc. AIBU?

We have at least 3 at any given time on our sofa. It's nice to be cosy.

One for the sofa, one for the chair. I quite often wear a full-length fleece at home in lieu of a blanket.

Cannot imagine life without blankets

@FrankieChips i also spent £50 on a heated throw for the bloody cat.

i’m stealing it back when it gets colder - my flat is freezing as my big window at the front is single glazed. the cat will have to find his own warm amongst all the other non-heated blankets he has free access to.

that aside, the heated throw is the best purchase i’ve made this year. it’s grey and soft and it gets proper toasty and everyone should have one.

I love a blanket! It’s so lovely to be cosy with a blanket on the sofa. My flat is quite cold so I have them on the sofa most of the year. I’ve had one on my lap like a granny while wfh for the last few weeks as well.

I love a snuggly blanket. I’ve got loads dotted about. I like to knit and have knitted several huge, chunky ones.

Always have a pile on the foot stall

The dog and I are snuggled under a furry one right now.

We all have one each here, although DH and I normally share and snuggle. Your DH is BU!

I have several. They are partly for comfort and partly warmth, so I even use them in the summer. The cats and kids love them too. No partner to object!

Snuggling under blankets is something people do when they're ill. I don't get the love for it at all. Don't you have heating.

We have 4 folded in the corner behind the couch one for each of us they get used often we live a blanket ❤️

We have about four so we can all have one each. Velvety on one side and fluffy on the other.

i can’t find the grey one but this is the one i have. it’s washable, for when i spill dip or ice cream on it. and so, so warm.

I can see 3 from where I am sat. One for me, one for dd and one for boy cat.

I've never liked blankets on the sofa. A few friends often offer blankets and I just don't like it.

Only if I'm ill.

Dh got one last Christmas. He’s a nesh bugger so he and the dog love it. I just bought a huge pure wool blanket from the chazzer today (perfect, never been used) dh assumed it was for the sofa, but it’s for the bed. The dog was gutted.

My husband doesn't like cushions! Imagine that.

Which is odd. As he appears to be using one as we speak 🙄

I have about 6 in the living room... I love them. So do my kids and my dog

I'm sitting here now with one over my legs and feet. I live on my own, so it doesn't matter.

My blanket has graduated to an actual duvet for winter 😂

We had a leather sofa when I was very small, so it always had a folded up sleeping bag on.

We moved to a very cold draughty house in my early teens, my mum took up crochet to stay warm!

Ours is officially the house of blankets. Every sofa, every bed, has at least one. My heated throw has been my favourite recent purchase! We even put the normal blankets away at Christmas and get the Christmas ones out

I have a mini crochet blanket that is on my legs now, a plush throw for really cold nights on the sofa, a thermal blanket and a flannel top sheet I use as a light blanket. Dh has an enormous knit blanket he uses to watch tv. You are not alone!
