Have discovered this fab ironing lady just down the road from me but DH keeps moaning that i'm sending it out all the time. Its just such a relief to bung it in a bag and have it all come back nicely pressed. Am a SAHM so should i be making time to do it myself?

I have just discovered this wonderful service near me. They even pick it up and return it 2 nights later. Great big pile pf ironing for £20. Fantastic.

sparklyfairypie · 25/01/2008 15:29

wow as much as i hate ironing it sounds like a good way to earn a lot of cash LOL

elliemac · 25/01/2008 21:00

Mine gets picked up on a sunday every week now and brought back on the wednesday - Fantastic! I've started getting my shopping on-line and thats saving me about £30 a week!!!!! Used to buy so much crap when i went into the supermarket. Use that money for my ironing now although mine usually only costs about £12.

I do my shopping online too. Its great! You don't have any impulse buys! Still too tight to pay for someone to iron for me though!!

Rhubarb · 26/01/2008 17:38

I was going to post on this, then saw the 455 number after the title and decided not to. So I'm not posting on this!

squilly · 27/01/2008 14:31

I only read a couple of posts, but PAY FOR IT!!! Life's too short.

And I don't care if you're laying back having someone else coming in to peel grapes while you watch Diagnosis Murder stretched out on a chaise longue!

If you hate ironing and you want to pay someone to do it, who gives a f**k what you do instead? You don't HAVE to have preschoolers to look after, you don't have to justify it at all. As Nike say...just do it!

hi Elliemac. Not much to report here, weather has been awful-no wonder you are full of cold. Thats a shame though. Nothing worse. Funnily enough I feel like I am coming down with something. Hope it passes! Hope you feel better now. Anything planned for the weekend? We are having a quiet one.

Hiya Mrs!! Haven't been on for ages. Been so busy lately and the LO is teething again so i'm just going to bed when she does. Its the only time i get to catch up with my sleep. She seems to be getting 4 at once this time. Its a wee shame. She's actually been sleeping with us these past few nights. I know i'll regret it in the long run but she just wants cuddles all the time. How can you refuse? Hope you're well. Got over my cold thank goodness. Thinking of booking my summer hols to cheer myself up. Will be making it a short flight though. Don't think i could do long haul with DD. She's always on the move. Speak soon x

Hi glad you are feeling better. I have the cold now!! Lo has been teething too. Its a shame. He is having trouble sleeping beyond 5am so been trying to cut down his daytime nap which seems to be working touch wood.
Where are you off to in summer? You got the brochures in? I love holiday brochures and getting all excited about where to go.

AprilMeadow · 06/02/2008 21:58

My mum does our ironing (for a fee) and its one of the best decisions i have made. If i hadnt asked her to do it then i would be living in an ironing mountain!

blanki · 06/02/2008 22:05

Sorry , not read all posts. But I do think that if you have tha cash to pay for someone else to do your ironing, then why not? What could possibly be wrong? Its not as if you are paying someone else to bring up your children! (runs for cover)

bigspender30 · 14/02/2008 22:33

hey Elliemac-you ok? Just been out for dinner with hubby for valentines and am about to go to my bed. did you get anything booked for hols? Am thinking a med cruise or south of france. Cotedazur on here is helping me and has sent me a couple of links for hotels. I know ryanair do flights to south of france quite cheap from prestwick.
anyway doll, hope all is well and speak soon x

elliemac · 16/02/2008 21:35

Hiya Babe! Haven;t been on in ages. Been really ill with that cold. Went into my sinuses and have had a terrible infection. Haven't booked anywhere yet. Haven't got a clue. Thought we might try EuroDisney but i think DD is still a bit wee for that. DH is definately sorting out e-mail this week so will let you know. Take care x

What does this have to do with any one else? It's a matter for the OP and her dh. Personal choice how they spend money as a family.
