To think its ok to send my ironing out?

elliemac · 13/10/2007 21:45

Have discovered this fab ironing lady just down the road from me but DH keeps moaning that i'm sending it out all the time. Its just such a relief to bung it in a bag and have it all come back nicely pressed. Am a SAHM so should i be making time to do it myself?

Aw wee Daniel - no I'm sadly not going to see him! If he came to town and it was for charity I might, my ds used to go to sleep to Daniel songs. I won't try to remember which ones or they will be stuck in my head.

bigspender30 · 08/11/2007 14:01

elliemac · 08/11/2007 19:23

Piss off you lot! Sidney Devine indeed! Bigspender - Not going to the xmas night. I couldn't trust myself to get back home. I'd end up on the train to Newcastle or something. How are you all anyway? No-one got any gossip? I've got a belter of a headache tonight. One of those ones that pills won't shift - nightmare!!!

Hey girlies! Am feeling much better now thanks. Just sent DH out for a takeaway. Having chicken korma - yummmmmm!!! Will just settle down to watch the soaps then i think. What are you all up to? Am off shopping tomorrow. Going to try and get a few xmas bits in. Can't stand the crowds nearer the time so i'm being organised this year for once!

bigspender30 · 09/11/2007 20:19

hello! Glad you feel better. I have done quite a bit of shopping online already ( miss smug) so I don't have to face Glasgow hopefully. Still got a lot to get though. Going out in Glasgow tomorrow night so just about to have a bath with a wee glass of wine and an early night since lo woke me up at 5.30 this morning! Enjoy your shopping x

ssd · 09/11/2007 21:12

hi girls!

where are you going tomorrow night bigspender? somewhere nice? hope so!

have a good day shopping ellie and don't spend too much!

bigspender30 · 10/11/2007 16:12

Tonight I'm off to west end somewhere. Not sure what to wear though as its freezing! Had a wee frock planned but may put jeans on instead. Whats everyone else up to today?

elliemac · 10/11/2007 18:28

Hiya! BigSpender - will talk to you later at some point cause you're probably getting all tarted up ready for your night on the tiles. You'll suffer in the morning mrs!!!

SSD - Spent way too much money today but never mind. The shops are starting to get way too busy for me.

This might sound really queer but was in the Hamleys bit of frasers in Glasgow the other day and i swear the floor was moving! It was a strange feeling like it was bouncing or something. Maybe its just lack of sleep!! Have a good night whatever you're up to. I'm being boring and watching Strictly

hi elliemac. You were right and boy was I suffering this morning. But bigspenders hangover cure works every time- buttered toast with banana, black coffee and 2 nurofen. Feel right as rain now.
How are you?

bigspender30 · 11/11/2007 19:43

Was Hamleys impressive? I think the floor moving thing is a bit strange though! Are you feeling ok generally? Sometimes if you have an ear infection it can affect your balance and lack of sleep will be a factor too.

elliemac · 11/11/2007 20:20

Have had a bit of a cold but it was the same in Monsoon. My mum felt it as well so i'm not going daft. Think its cause its a wooden floor maybe and its a bit springy. What time did you get in the last night then? Was it a good one? I get terrible hangovers so i don't tend to drink all that much. I can be ill for up to 3 days after a night out. Its just not worth it. I used to be alright but it must be an age thing! Hamleys was a bit dissappointing i thought but it was ok!

OP posts:
bigspender30 · 12/11/2007 11:43

that sounds really weird. Maybe just the flooring then. My friend had that on holiday after coming back off a long haul flight but think it was her ears. So did you get much xmas shopping done? We were home for 1am on sat night-good job too as I'd had more than enough. I am not used to drinking at all. So did you buy anything out shopping? Need to get organised for xmas. How old are your babies? I just have one 18 month old which is plenty! No idea what to get him for xmas though so am off to get some ideas online. Talk to you later x

elliemac · 12/11/2007 19:34

You dirty stop out - 1am!!! Didn't really get much for xmas at all. Am putting it off as long as possible. DD is 17 months and i'm struggling with what to get her too. We spoil her i'm afraid so she just gets things as i see them. Will have to cut that out shortly. Have got a really blocked nose tonight. This bloody cold just keeps coming back. Its driving me nuts. Its Proclaimers night tomorrow but i don't know if i can be arsed to go. DH is looking foward to it so i'll have to just put a face on. Will probably enjoy it when i get there. Where's all the other lot this weather? Been really quiet on here!

OP posts:
bigspender30 · 13/11/2007 09:32

ooh enjoy the proclaimers and your hubbys mad dancing!!
Hope your cold clears up-you need echinacea. We are off to the toddler group this morning then to buy trainers for wee man this afternoon. Have a nice day. x

elliemac · 13/11/2007 19:24

Didn't go to the concert. Am so full of cold again its unbelievable! My nose is so stuffed and my ears hurt. Generally being a moody bitch today. Are you a SAHM then? I am and we just spend our week going to toddler stuff and swimming. Its great fun!! Hubby is not so thrilled mind you. He says i still spend money as if i was working but hey you only live once. Did you get the new shoes then?

OP posts:
bigspender30 · 14/11/2007 12:59

aw thats a shame that you missed your concert. Hope you are feeling better soon. Big hugs to you. Yes am a SAHM -harder than working I reckon and yes I too can spend money like I was still earning. I think we are very lucky to be able to be SAHM don't you think? We too spend our days at toddlers, shopping and music class. Didn't get the shoes yesterday but perhaps this afternoon if it stays nice. What you up to? Just getting your feet up?

elliemac · 14/11/2007 19:20

Hey chick! Gave my tickets to some friends for last night and they brought me back a programme - Whooooopeeeee!! Would have preferred the real thing. I love being a SAHM. Must admit though it'll be good when she goes to nursery and then i can get a couple of hours to myself. That won't be for years yet though! Didn't do much at all today. Had a couple of friends round and their kids trashed the place so had to hoover and dust when they'd left. Thats the last thing i felt like i can tell you. Feeling a bit better now thank goodness. DD is in bed fast asleep now so i'm going to chill out and watch my soaps and i'm a celeb. Talk to you later x
