Am I wrong to turn my nose up at this make of car? Hubby wants to consider them but honestly just the name doesn’t appeal to me.

Any one with a Skoda love or hate them?

I drive a 4wd Octavia estate. There's nothing wrong with it but I don't like it. I had a VW before that I loved and will go back to a VW next. The VW was a quieter, smoother drive and I do a lot of miles. That said if I'd got a Skoda after my old Daewoo I'd probably like it more.

I had a Skoda fabia VRS and I still miss that car. It was a brilliant reliable and super fast when needed car.
Had to sell it in end to get a more suitable family car but I would buy another Skoda straight away.

We looked at a brand new Octavia 1.5 SL line. It is gorgeous, easily as easy in the eye and (thought) very roomy and classy inside as the comparable names.
We're getting a 21 plate one next year. Lot of car for the money -Skoda have really upped their game.

Bought a Kamiq a week before lockdown, the first Skoda we've owned. Superb value for money. A friend of ours has owned a Fabia seemingly forever - it refuses to die - so Skoda seemed like a reasonable place to start looking. Never owned a brand new car before but no regrets about spending a chunk of the savings. Oddly lots of my colleagues at work have seen it in the car park and asked about it presumably because it's a new model and I have had nothing negative to say at all.

We are on our 2nd Octavia, hatchback. It has a tiny 1.0 engine, a huge boot, loads of space inside and loads of gadgets. Sat nav, SD card with all my music on, Dab radio, heated seats, reversing camera. In fact, my daughter has a merc, and I enjoy telling her that my Skoda has that, whenever she points out one of her gadgets. Despite the small engine it is surprisingly nipoy, we get at least 50 to the gallon, 60 on a run. I absolutely love it. Their suv range is excellent. They may not be the prettiest cars in the road, but if you can get past the badge snobbery they are darn good cars.
