Lasagna with cheese on top

Just ordered a food delivery as a treat, DH ordered a lasagna and it came with cheese on top.

I would of complained as cheese does not belong on lasagna but DH loves it as says it's meant to come with melted grated cheese on top.

I disagree and think it's just meant to have the white sauce.

Should Lasagna have cheese?

YANBU = No cheese

YABU = Yes cheese

I'd be horribly disappointing if there was no cheese. I'm not fussy though, any melted cheese would do for me. But lasagne definitely needs cheese.

I love it with cheese on top, however my DD2 isn't too keen on melted cheese so I often leave it off. It is actually nice both ways!

Classic lasagna has bechemal sauce only but also Parmesan cheese on top.
No one makes it like that because it's far far nicer to use (cheddar) cheese sauce instead of bechemal.
Ricotta, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan all used frequently making lasagna.

What does yours look like?? It wouldn't brown on top without cheese.

My gast would be flabbered if I didn’t get cheese on my lasagne.

I don't think I have ever had it without cheese on top to be honest and have often made it following different recipes online and books. All had cheese on top.

i love cheese but dont put it on lasagne. i think ive had it before with a light dusting of parmesan but not cheddar or any other

Yes I think trad would have parmesan just on top and béchamel sauce I however add cheddar to the sauce and on top as well!

A lasagne without cheese on top would go back with a complaint and a demand of a refund

My husband once out peas in a lasagne. It's the worst row we've ever had. It was borderline divorce territory.
