Lasagna with cheese on top

Just ordered a food delivery as a treat, DH ordered a lasagna and it came with cheese on top.

I would of complained as cheese does not belong on lasagna but DH loves it as says it's meant to come with melted grated cheese on top.

I disagree and think it's just meant to have the white sauce.

Should Lasagna have cheese?

You would 'of' complained? Cheese is an essential component of lasagne, often three types of cheese and Bechamel sauce. I love it and now you've mentioned lasagne, I want one!

Mine has no white sauce and only grated cheese, it’s how it’s liked in this house, nobody likes the sloppy white sauce I make.

Cheeseless lasagna is an abomination! What on earth would you use instead? It has to be: lasagna sheets, cheese sauce, sliced tomatoes (or Sun dried tomatoes), fresh mozzarella, grated extra mature cheddar, then salt and pepper. Mmm.

Plus the bolognese sauce of course.
